Meta-analysis Of Clinical Efficacy Of Meniscus Plasty And Meniscectomy For Discoid Meniscus

Objective:To assess the efficacy and safety of meniscus plasty and menisectomy for discoid meniscus by a meta-analysis.Methods:Literatures were retrieved from Pubmed,Embase,Web of Science,Cochrane Library,CNKI and Wanfang database before November 2018.All the relevant literatures were checked according to the including criteria.The related data collected were statistically analyzed using Revman 5.3 software to compare the difference in the efficacy and the occurrence of adverse effects(AEs)between meniscus plasty and menisectomy.Results: A total of 9 articles met the inclusion criteria.Meta-analysis results showed that postoperative excellent and good rate of Lysholm score scale,postoperative international knee documentation committee score and the incidence of adverse effects were significantly different between the two treatments(P<0.05).But there was no statistically significant difference in postoperative Lysholm knee score scale,excellent and good rate using Ikeuchi method between the two treatments(P>0.05).Conclusion : In the treatment of patients with discoid meniscus,compared with menisectomy,meniscus plasty has the advantages of high efficacy and less adverse effects.So meniscus plasty is an effective and safe surgical method.
