Objective:To compare the curative effect of the discoid meniscus patients Whose clinical symptom is different, and research the operative affection to the patients'life quality. So that it can provide some reasons for the chosen of curative time.Methods:To collect 52 patients who were diagnosed as discoid meniscus in shanxi second clinical medical hospital and huajin hospital. Their knee functions was evaluated by Lysholm knee function score before surgery.The patients whose score is over 80 are one group, the patients whose score is under 80 are another group. From two groups respectively choose 20 patients randomly,these patients compose light symptom group and heavy symptom group. After surgery we evaluate patients with Lysholm knee function score and SF-36 survey questionnaire. Statistical analyse the results, and compare two group patients'curative effect and the variance of life quality after surgery.Results:1. All the patient was in follow-up, the period is six months. In heavy symptom group one patient who was found the pain and swelling of the knee joint, and after reeling off the gore, the swell is vanished, but a little pained when walking. In heavy symptom group three patients have little pains after surgery. Others have no complications and no second operation in postoperative.2. The scores of two group patients by Lysholm knee function score and SF-36 survey questionnaire both have prominent difference. It showed that the curative effect of light symptom group is better than heavy symptom group.Conclusion:1. The curative effect of light symptom group is better than heavy symptom group.2. The life quality of light symptom group is better than heavy symptom group.3. At postoperative six month, the function of knee joint and life quality of two group patients are the best, which are obviously better than preoperative. In contrast with postoperative three months, at postoperative six months VT and MH of two group patients are not obviously improved, but are obviously improved in contrast with preoperative.4. The sufferer of discoid meniscus should be treated by Arthroscopy early.
