Objective:The aim of this paper was to investigate the changes of the teenagers normal and discoid meniscus when scan at upright position, and analysis whether these changes are related to the injury and age,try to find the laws of the meniscus changes. Methods:Collected 125 cases discoid meniscus and 65 cases normal meniscus taking the knee MRI scan from the December 2014 to December 2015 in The Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University. All patients were using Parkson Corporation passive permanent magnet 0.25 T G-sCAN MRI scanners supine and upright MR scan, including sagittal T1 WI and coronal T1 WI, after checking analysis the image. Learn discoid meniscus and normal meniscus changes in upright position MR scan, and analyze at different positions whether the degree of change in each data was relatedd to the meniscus injury and the age.Results:(1)Anteroposterior diameter of the meniscus, meniscus body height, and meniscus body width in different positions was statistically significant(P <0.05);(2)Changes of the data in different postures of discoid meniscus injury group was higher than non-injured group and the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05);(3) The age have nothing to do with the changes of the data in different postures of discoid meniscus injury group, the discoid meniscus undamaged group and the normal group the anteroposterior diameter of the meniscus, meniscus body width changes between different positions was the most obvious in 8-16 years, the meniscus body height was the most obvious in 8-13 years. Conclusion:The different postures MR scanning teen discoid meniscus patients and normalvolunteers meniscus morphological changes occur in varying degrees.Changes of the data in different postures of discoid meniscus injury group was higher than non-injured group and the control group. The normal and non-injured discoid meniscus deformation degree have some relationship with age, 8-16 years old stage where change significantly, after 16 years the change gradually stabilized.Upright MRI imaging to provide more comprehensive information for the diagnosis and treatment of discoid meniscus.
