A Study On The Employment Intentions Of Medical Higher Vocational College Students In Fujian Province

With the advancement of mass education,the employment of college graduates has become an important issue of people's livelihood.The rapid development of higher vocational education sees her graduates facing a more severe employment situation.Medical higher vocational college graduates,a special part of college graduates,shoulder the mission to meet the " requirements of constantly increasing medical technology and service owing to the ever-growing economy”.Their employment situation is related to the development of the medical enterprise.Therefore,it is significant to study the employment situation of these medical vocational graduates.As employment behavior is directly influenced by employment intention(In view of the direct influence of employment intention on employment behavior,)an empirical investigation is carried out on the employment intention of graduates of the medical vocational colleges in Fujian from aspects of employment preparation,professional identity,employment expectation and school education.Questionnaire survey is applied in this study,supplemented by interview and literature research.Statistical analysis shows that at present the main existing problems of the employment intention of medical vocational college graduates in Fujian province are insufficient preparation for employment,over-optimistic employment prospects,unclear employment objectives,outdated employment concepts,high employment expectations,gaps in school education and low employment satisfaction,and so on.On this basis,the causes of these problems are described.It is found that students' employment intentions are mainly influenced by four factors,including individual comprehensive quality,talent training modes of colleges,family education and social environment.Finally,the corresponding countermeasures to promote the employment intention of students in Fujian medical vocational colleges are advanced,suggesting that students themselves should update employment concepts,adjust the employment mentality,and actively improve their comprehensive quality.Colleges should focus on improving the quality of running schools and emphasize their vocational guidance andtalent cultivation.Families and the society should work together to create better environment to promote better employment of the medical higher vocational students.
