Objective:To analyze the clinical efficacy and safety of extracorporeal shock wave combined with glucosamine in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis, and to analyze the mechanism of both in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis,so as to provide experimental data and methods for the clinical treatment of knee osteoarthritis. Methods:From November 2018 to December 2019,patients with early and intermediate knee osteoarthritis in rehabilitation medicine department of shaanxi provincial people's hospital were collected. After screening completely according to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria,68 patients who met the test criteria were selected.Randomly divided into two groups by SPSS 26.0 software: shock wave combined with glucosamine(the combination group)34 cases and glucosamine group(the glucosamine group)34 cases.VAS score,WOMAC score and the score of difficulty performing daily functional activities were observed before and after treatment in the two groups, and the data were analyzed statistically.Results:(1)There was no significant difference in age, sex, weight, height, body mass index and knee joint before treatment between the two groups(P>0.05),indicating that the two groups were comparable.(2)VAS results: VAS scores before and after treatment in the combination group were(4.65±0.65)and(3.68±0.77),and VAS scores before and after treatment in the glucosamine group were(4.59±0.74)and(4.18±0.80),indicating that both groups could relieve pain.Comparison within the two groups: VAS score after treatment was lower than that before treatment in both groups, with statistical significance(P < 0.05).Comparison between the two groups: VAS score of the combination group was lower than that of the glucosamine group after treatment, showing statistical significance, and the combined group had better effect than the glucosamine group(P < 0.05).(3)WOMAC results: The WOMAC scores of the combination group before and after treatment were(51.03±3.99)and(40.09±4.94),respectively.The WOMAC scores of the glucosamine group before and after treatment were(50.41±4.04)and(47.71±3.23),showing that both groups were effective.comparison within the group: WOMAC scores of both groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, and both were statistically significant(P <0.05).Comparison between the two groups: After treatment, the combination group had a lower WOMAC score than the glucosamine group, whichwas statistically significant, and the effect of the combined group was better than that of the glucosamine group(P <0.05).(4)The results of difficulty performing daily functional activities:The score of difficulty performing daily functional activities before and after treatment in the combination group was(34.32±2.46)and(28.35±3.08),and the score of difficulty performing daily functional activities before and after treatment the glucosamine group was(34.47±2.90)and(32.79±1.90),indicating improvement in both groups.Comparison within the group: the scores of difficulty performing daily functional activities in both groups after treatment were lower than before treatment, both of which were statistically significant(P < 0.05).Comparison between the two groups: After treatment, the score of daily life difficulty in the combination group was lower than that in the glucosamine group, which was statistically significant, and the improvement in the combination group was more significant than that in the glucosamine group(P < 0.05).Conclusion:(1)Extracorporeal shock wave combined with glucosamine and glucosamine alone are safe and effective in treating knee osteoarthritis. Both groups can alleviate the pain of knee osteoarthritis to a certain extent, and both can improve knee function.(2)Extracorporeal shock wave combined with glucosamine is more effective in treating knee osteoarthritis, especially in relieving knee pain and improving joint function.
