ObjectiveBoth oral administration of Bushen Huoxue Decoction and extracorporeal shock wave are effective treatments for knee osteoarthritis,but there are few reports about the combined treatment of knee osteoarthritis.In this study,the combination of Bushen Huoxue Decoction and extracorporeal shock wave treatment of knee osteoarthritis(liver and kidney deficiency,stasis of tendons and veins)was used to evaluate the clinical efficacy of the two methods in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis,as a clinician Provide reference for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.Methods75 patients who were diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis(deficiency of liver and kidney,syndrome of stasis of tendons and veins)at the Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic of Hubei Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November2018 to November 2019 were selected as the study Object.According to the random number table method,75 patients were divided into physical therapy group,traditional Chinese medicine group,and observation group,with 25 cases in each group.The three groups were treated with extracorporeal shock wave,Bushen Huoxue Decoction and a combination of the two methods.The frequency of external shock wave treatment is 1 time/week,and the frequency of Bushen Huoxue Decoction is 2 times/day.The treatment time of this study is 4 weeks.The VAS score,WOMAC osteoarthritis index and Lequesne MG index before and after treatment were recorded,and the clinical efficacy was evaluated 4 weeks after the end of treatment.SPSS25.0 statistical analysis software was used to analyze and compare all data.Results1.The data of the three groups of patients,such as gender,age,BMI,X-ray classification,course of disease,and location of onset,were statistically analyzed,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05),which was comparable;the VAS scores of the three groups of patients before treatment There was no statistically significant difference between WOMAC osteoarthritis index and Lequesne MG index(P>0.05),and they were comparable.2.Comparing the total effective rate of the three groups,the observation group was 96.0%,the physical therapy group was 84.0%,and the traditional Chinese medicine group was 80.0%.The total effective rate of the observation group was better than that of the physical therapy group and the traditional Chinese medicine group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the efficacy of the physical therapy group and the traditional Chinese medicine group(P>0.05).3.After treatment,the VAS scores of the three groups were significantly lower than those before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the physical therapy group and the traditional Chinese medicine group,and the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.05),but there was no significant difference in VAS score between the physical therapy group and the traditional Chinese medicine group(P>0.05).4.After the treatment,the WOMAC pain,stiffness,mobility scores and total scores of the three groups were significantly reduced compared with those before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the WOMAC sub-scores and total scores of the observation group were lower than the physical therapy group and the traditional Chinese medicine group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the WOMAC sub-scores and total scores between the physical therapy group and the traditional Chinese medicine group(P>0.05).5.After the treatment,the Lequesne MG index of the three groups of patients was significantly lower than that before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the Lequesne MG index of the observation group was lower than that of the physical therapy group and the traditional Chinese medicine group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);while the Lequesne MG index of the physical therapy group and the traditional Chinese medicine group had no significant difference(P>0.05).ConclusionBushen Huoxue Decoction combined with extracorporeal shock wave therapy can effectively relieve joint pain in patients with knee osteoarthritis(deficiency of liver and kidney,stasis of tendons and veins),improve joint function,improve quality of life,and delay the development of the disease.It is a safe and feasible treatment method and can be promoted in clinical practice.
