Clinical Research About The Instant Curative Effect On Treating Asthenopia With Walnut Shell Moxibustion

Objective:Observing the immediate effect of walnut shell moxibustion on the treatment of the asthenopia of visual display terminal(VDT),and providing a clinical basis for the application and promotion of this method for treating asthenopia.Methods:By using randomized and controlled clinical trial research methods,64 patients with VDT asthenopia who satisfying the inclusion criteria are randomly divided into treatment group and control group.And the fomer uses walnut shell moxibustion.First,we put the walnut shell in to water mixed by Qi ju di huang Decoction for 6 hours;second,using moxibustion on the top of the nut for three strong(about 45min).By contrary,the control group uses sodium hyaluronate eye drops: make usre eyes are closed with sodium hyaluronate eye drops for 45 minutes.Finally,evaluating the clinical effect of two groups after finishing the research.Results:1.62 patients completed the entire trial.2.Baseline data showed that there is no statistically significant difference between two groups in sociological data such as age,gender,diopter,regulatory response,and disease-related data(p>0.05)3.Treatment outcome(1)The comparison between the test group and the control group showed that both treatment schemes can increase the adjustment range(p<0.01),left and right eye adjustment sensitivity(p<0.05),and binocular adjustment sensitivity(p<0.01).(2)Comparison between the test group and the control group shows that the test group is better than the control group in terms of improvement in adjustment amplitude(p<0.01),and it is better than the control group in improving the adjustment sensitivity of left and right eyes There was statistical significance(p<0.01)and better than the control group in improving the sensitivity of binocular adjustment(p<0.05).Conclusion:1.The walnut shell moxibustion has an unique method for treating VDT asthenopia and has a significant effect.It is worthy of further research and clinical promotion;2.Two different treatment methods(walnut shell moxibustion and sodium hyaluronate eye drops)can partially improve the patient's adjustment lag after longterm using VDT equipment at close range;3.The walnut shell moxibustion is superior to sodium hyaluronate eye drops in improving the eye regulation function of patients with VDT asthenopia.
