Objective:To evaluate the clinical effect of moxibustion of walnut shell glasses for dry eyes,and to evaluate the effect of moxibustion with walnut shell glasses on ATD and MGD.Methods:The trial is designed abide by the principle of random and control.Dry eye patients were included in accordance with the proposed inclusion and exclusion criteria,and randomly divided into trial group and control group.The trial group was treated with moxibustion of walnut shell glasses,3 times a week,and 1 moxibustion the next day.The control group was treated with sodium hyaluronate eye drops 4 times a day.The period of observation is 4 weeks.Evaluation of baseline changes in the two groups before and after the treatment of ocular symptoms VAS score,OSDI score,tear break-up time(BUT),fluorescie(FL),Schirmer teat I(ST I),and at the same time,the safety index and adverse reactions were observed.Results:In this study,96 patients with dry eye were included in the inclusion criteria.Except 12 lost because of not involved in the review,84 cases(168 eyes)were completed.Among them,44 cases were in trial group and 40 in control group.There was no significant difference on baseline data such as gender,age,course of history,history of eye surgery,corneal lens,VAS score,OSDI score,BUT,ST ?,FL between trial group and control group after statistics analysis(P>0.05).Baseline data are comparable.1.After treatment,the trial group improved significantly on eye VAS score,OSDI score and BUT(P<0.001),but not on FL and STI(P>0.05).2.After treatment,the control group improved on eye VAS score,OSDI score and BUT(P 0.05),but not on FL and ST I(P>0.05).3.After treatment,compared with the trial group and control group,eye VAS score changes are statistically significant(P=0.025).And there was no significant difference with OSDI score,BUT,FL and ST I(P>0.05).4.In the effective rate of treatment at 4th week,the trialgroup was 52.3%,included cure 2.3%(1/44),significant effective 18.2%(8/44),effective 31.8%(14/44),and control group 40.0%,included significant effective 15.0%(6/44),effective 25.0%(10/44).Contrast difference of the effective rate was no statistical difference between the groups(P>0.05).5.On the eye VAS score,the ATD group improved significantly after 2 weeks and 4 weeks of treatmen(P<0.001).and the MGD group was improved after 2 weeks(P=0.033),and significantly improved after 4 weeks(P<0.001).There was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).6.On the eye OSDI score and BUT,the ATD and MGD were improved after treatment(P<0.05),but there was no statistical difference between the two groups(P>0.05).7.On the FL,The ATD and the MGD were not improved after treatment(P>0.05),and there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P>0 0.05).8.Neither trial group nor control group had any adverse reactions during the trial,and the safety indicators before and after treatment were not abnormal.Conclusion:1.Moxibustion of walnut shell glasses can improve dry eye symptoms effectively,and its short-term curative effect is better than that of sodium hyaluronate eye drops.2.Moxibustion of walnut shell glasses can improve patients with dry eye on BUT significantly,and improve tear film stability3.During the experimental study,there is no adverse reaction and adverse event in the treatment of Moxibustion of walnut shell glassesn.It is safe and reliable.
