Clinical Observation Of Walnut Shell Glasses Moxibustion In The Treatment Of Juvenile Myopia

Objective: Observe the clinical efficacy of walnut shell spectacle moxibustion in the treatment of juvenile myopia.Methods: A total of 70 cases(140 eyes)that met the inclusion criteria were collected from the characteristic treatment department of traditional Chinese medicine and the ophthalmology clinic.Randomly divided into test group and control group.Control group: basic treatment(eye health promotion and education and eye press acupuncture treatment);test group: basic treatment + walnut shell spectacle moxibustion.The two groups were given 3 courses of treatment.The diopter,naked eyesight and asthenopia symptoms of the two groups were compared during and before the treatment,and follow-up was carried out 1 month and 3months after the treatment.Results:1.Before treatment,the two groups are comparable.2.Asthenopia symptom score: After treatment,the effective rates of the testgroup and the control group were 48.28% and 31.82%,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 1 month and 3 months of follow-up after treatment,the scores of visual fatigue symptoms in the two groups decreased.Although there was no difference(P>0.05),the decrease in the experimental group was better than that in the control group.3.Naked eyesight: After treatment,the effective rates of the test group and control group were 31.03% and 12.12%,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05),but the test group had a better tendency to improve the naked eyesight.One month follow-up after the treatment ended,there was a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).The naked eyesight decreased and the decrease in the test group was lower.Follow-up 3 months after the treatment,the naked eye eyesight of the two groups decreased,and there was no difference between the two groups(P>0.05).4.Diopter: After treatment,the effective rates of the experimental group and the control group were 29.31% and 13.64%,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05),but the tendency of the experimental group to decrease the refractive power was better.Follow-up 1 month and 3 months after treatment,the refractive power of the two groups increased,and there was no difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Walnut shell spectacle moxibustion can improve the asthenopia symptoms of adolescent patients with pseudomyopia and simple mild myopia,but it is not effective for naked eyesight and diopter.2.Follow-up after the treatment,the walnut shell spectacle moxibustion has no obvious effect on naked eyesight and diopter,but it can relieve visual fatigue and slow the growth of myopia.3.Walnut shell spectacle moxibustion did not have any adverse events or reactions during the treatment process and follow-up,and the operation is simple,safe and comfortable,and it is easier to be accepted by teenagers and parents.
