Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Chronic Non-atrophic Gastritis Due To Spleen Qi Deficiency With Modified Waitai Fuling Yin

Objectives To observe the effect of Modified Waitai Fuling Yin on traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,gastric mucosa and Patient Reported Outcome(PRO)scale of chronic gastrointestinal diseases in patients with chronic non-atrophic gastritis due to Spleen Qi Deficiency,and to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Modified Waitai Fuling Yin in treating chronic non-atrophic gastritis due to Spleen Qi Deficiency.Methods A total of 62 patients with chronic non-atrophic gastritis due to Spleen Qi Deficiency were randomly divided into two groups,31 in the treatment group and 31 in the control group.In the treatment group,self-made Modified Waitai Fuling Yin was given orally.Meanwhile,the control group took omeprazole enteric-coated capsules and Domperidone orally.The two groups of patients took 4 weeks as a course of treatment and stopped taking other drugs to treat chronic non-atrophic gastritis during the period.Before and after the treatment,the two groups of patients were examined for traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,gastric mucosa score under electronic gastroscope and PRO scale score of chronic gastrointestinal diseases.Recorded and arranged the test data and did some statistical analysis by SPSS 22.0 software.The measurement data were analyzed with t test and rank sum test,and the enumeration data were analyzed with Chisquare test and rank sum test.The difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).According to the obtained results,to objectively evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Modified Waitai Fuling Yin in treating chronic non-atrophic gastritis due to Spleen Qi Deficiency.Results 1 After the treatment,the curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome in both groups was compared.The total effective rate of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome of the treatment group of Modified Waitai Fuling Yin was 96.77%,and the total effective rate of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome of the control group was 77.42%.It suggested that the curative effect of the treatment group of Modified Waitai Fuling Yin was stronger than that of the control group(P < 0.05);After the treatment,the total score and single symptom score of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome in both groups were compared.Both groups had definite curative effect(P<0.05),but the treatment group of Modified Waitai Fuling Yin was more efficacious than the control group(P<0.05),and the former was better than the latter at improving the condition of poor appetite,severe flatulence after ingestion,mental fatigue,limb tiredness,no thirst,loose stools,inability to defecate and sallow complexion effectively.2 After the treatment,the endoscopic efficacy in both groups was compared.The total effective rate of gastric mucosa of the treatment group of Modified Waitai Fuling Yin was 87.10%,and the total effective rate of gastric mucosa of the control group was 70.97%.It suggested that the endoscopic efficacy of the treatment group of Modified Waitai Fuling Yin was stronger than that of the control group(P < 0.05);After the treatment,each mucosal score and the total mucosal score of the two groups were compared under electronic gastroscope.Both groups had definite curative effect(P <0.05),but the treatment group of Modified Waitai Fuling Yin was more efficacious than the control group(P<0.05),and the former was better than the latter at improving the condition of gastric mucosa erosion and hemorrhage effectively.3 After the treatment,the total score and single dimension score of PRO scale of chronic gastrointestinal diseases in both groups were compared.Both groups had definite curative effect(P<0.05),but the treatment group of Modified Waitai Fuling Yin was more efficacious than the control group(P<0.05),and the former was better than the latter at reducing the PRO scale total score and each dimension score of indigestion,abnormal defecation,systemic symptoms,social function,psychological mood and reflux effectively.4 During treatment,there were no serious adverse reactions and adverse events in the two groups.Before and after the treatment,the liver and kidney function in both groups was compared,and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions Modified Waitai Fuling Yin can treat chronic non-atrophic gastritis due to Spleen Qi Deficiency effectively and safely.Modified Waitai Fuling Yin relieves or eliminates the clinical symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine and improves the gastric mucosa and the quality of life stronger than the control group given omeprazole enteric-coated capsules and Domperidone.Figure0;Table31;Reference 99...
