Background With the development of the social medical model also in unceasing progress,the traditional biomedical model has gradually been a new medical model,(social-psychology-biological model)is replaced,at the same time,the health concept of people in a huge change,awareness of health has not merely confined to refers to the body of a state without disease.Previous Health evaluation indicators,such as morbidity,morbidity and mortality,cannot meet the complete definition of Health under the new medical model because they fail to express the impact of psychological and social factors on disease.Therefore,health-related Quality of Life(HRQo L)emerges as a new evaluation indicator.In the field of stomatology,Oral health-related Quality of Life(OHRQo L)has become an important indicator reflecting the impact of Oral Health on individual Quality of Life.Pregnancy was particular stage in women’s life,but also need to pay special attention to the important period of oral health and health care,because of the sex hormone levels during pregnancy,especially the rise of progesterone,dietary preference for sweet and sour food,easy to nausea,vomiting,and so on are made pregnant women in this period is difficult to maintain good oral health and oral disease will ensue.Oral diseases during pregnancy not only cause physical discomfort to pregnant women,reduce their quality of life,and even affect the psychological impact of pregnant women,more closely related to the health of the fetus.Therefore,more attention should be paid to the oral health of pregnant women and the quality of life related to oral health of pregnant women.Only by identifying the factors that affect the oral health-related quality of life of pregnant women,can we provide targeted preventive health care measures for pregnant women,so as to improve the oralhealth-related quality of life of pregnant women.Therefore this study is to understand oral health related quality of life status of women during pregnancy,and from the social demographic factors,oral health knowledge and behavior,oral health effect analysis of pregnancy women oral health related quality of life factors,to carry out effective health education and promote the implementation of the oral health to provide important theoretical basis.Method Using cross-sectional survey a random sample from the first affiliated hospital of Anhui medical university,508 cases of pregnancy women,the oral he alth impact scale(OHIP-14 Chinese version)and the factors influencing the or al health related quality of life questionnaire investigation,data checked before e ach entry Epidata 3.1,the final data analysis by SPSS 19.0 system.The factors i nfluencing oral health-related quality of life in pregnant women were analyzed b y single factor analysis and multiple stepwise regression analysisResult The score of OHIP-14 was(10.93±7.77),in different characteristics of pregnancy women and OHIP-14 points in the single factor analysis,results show that the degree of culture,dental anxiety and OHIP-14 points of statistically significant correlations(P < 0.05),in different oral health behavior and OHIP-14 points of single factor analysis results show that the brush your teeth after eating,if timely diagnosis and OHIP-14 points of statistically significant correlations(P < 0.05),oral health status of the pregnancy women and OHIP-14 points of single factor analysis results show that the gums bleeding,resistance dentition,DMFT(caries),visual plaque index(VPI)with OHIP-14 points of statistically significant correlations(P < 0.05)in pregnancy women oral health related quality of life of multiple stepwise regression analysis,cultural degree,dental anxiety,if timely diagnosis and DMFT and bleeding gums that five factors affecting P < 0.05,five variables together explained 19.0% of the total variation of the OHIP-14Conclusion the oral health-related quality of life of pregnant women is at the general level,and the oral health needs to be improved.To improve the oral health knowledge level of pregnant women,increase the publicity of professional oral knowledge,guide pregnant women to establish good oral health habits,it is recommended to include oral examination in the routine examination before pregnancy. |
