A Survey Of Cognition,attitude And Willingness Of Qingdao Citizen To Donate Hematopoietic Stem Cells

Objective: Understand the awareness,attitude and willingness of Qingdao citizens to donate hematopoietic stem cells,and discuss the factors that affect the willingness to donate.Methods: This study used literature review,semi-structured interview method and questionnaire survey to collect relevant data.(1)Literature review: Bone marrow/Marrow,Hematopoietic stem cell,Donate/Donation,cognition/Acknowledge,attitude/Attitude,willingness/Willingness,behavior/Behavior/Behaviour,motivation/Motivation,etc.Words,search in PubMed,China HowNet,Wanfang and other databases,analyze the collected documents,and preliminarily formulate a research questionnaire based on the results.(2)Semi-structured interviews: use semi-structured interviews to conduct interviews with relevant persons in charge of the urban Red Cross and city blood stations,and use Colaizzi phenomenological research methods to understand the current status of donations of hematopoietic stem cells in the city.(3)Questionnaire survey method: The citizens who meet the inclusion criteria in the three districts of a certain city are selected as the survey object by the convenient sampling method,and finally 2600 questionnaires are distributed,and 2423 valid questionnaires are recovered,with a recovery rate of 93.19%.Survey tools include general information questionnaires,hematopoietic stem cell donation scales,use Epidata 3.1 to establish a database;and use statistical software SPSS 21.0 to complete data processing and statistical analysis.Counting data are grouped into groups and described statistically by rate and composition ratio;measurement data are described by mean ± standard deviation,and comparison of measurement data between different groups is performed by t test and analysis of variance.Pearson correlation was used to determine the relationship between scores of donation willingness of hematopoietic stem cells and scores of donation cognition and attitude.The influencing factor analysis is a single factor and multiple linear regression analysis on the donation willingness of Qingdao citizens Results:(1)The free blood donation business in Qingdao City is developing well,and most of the volunteers who join the Chinese bone marrow bank are caring blood donors;the promotion of hematopoietic stem cell donation is mainly based on the distribution of leaflets and on-site publicity.The major problem is the loss of registered volunteers.Lianhe donated.(2)The public’s total cognitive score on donation of hematopoietic stem cells is(7.41±1.18)points.The topic with the highest awareness rate is "hematopoietic stem cell transplantation can treat leukemia and other malignant hematological diseases,bone marrow failure and some genetic diseases(93.46%)." The subject with the lowest awareness rate is "Donation of hematopoietic stem cells does not affect health,no sequelae,and the recovery period is 1-2 weeks(38.31%)."(3)The average score of Qingdao citizens’ total attitude towards hematopoietic stem cell donation is(3.40±1.09).Among them,the average score of the hemopoietic stem cell donation dimension is(2.15±0.96),and the average hemopoietic stem cell donation dimension is(3.73±1.17),the dimensions that hinder the donation of hematopoietic stem cells are divided into(4.32±1.15).Among all the questions on the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Donation Attitude Scale,the lower the score,the more positive the attitude.(4)The resident’s willingness to donate blood hematopoietic stem cells scored(3.16±0.97)points.In the single factor analysis of willingness to donate,significant differences were found in gender,age,education,occupation,average monthly income,long-term residence and unpaid blood donation behavior(P<0.05).The score of citizens’ willingness to donate is positively correlated with the score of cognition,and negatively correlated with the score of each dimension in donation attitude.(5)Multiple linear regression analysis of the hemopoietic stem cell donation willingness of certain citizens: Based on the results of single factor analysis,three dimensions of meaningful factors,hematopoietic stem cell donation cognition and donation attitude were included in the independent variables,and the willingness to donate was used as the dependent variable to perform multiple Linear regression analysis.The results showed that: gender(Beta=0.089,P=0.001),age(25-29:Beta=0.388,P=0.001;40-45:Beta=-0.181,P=0.002),education level(College degree:Beta=0.199,P=0.046,Master degree or above:Beta=0.236,P=0.012),unpaid blood donation behavior(Beta=0.557,P=0.001),cognition of hematopoietic stem cell donation(Beta=0.929 P=0.001),and recognition of the value of hematopoietic stem cell donation(Beta=0.265,P=0.031).The reasons for hindering the donation of hematopoietic stem cell(Beta=-0.162,P=0.016)entered the regression equation,which became the main factors affecting citizens’ willingness to donate(P<0.05).(6)The top four of the citizens’ preferential policies for donating hematopoietic stem cells are "I and relatives who need to reduce the use of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(48.78%)","Paid leave(43.66%)","I and Relatives used blood for free(39.66%)and "regular free medical examination(38.96%)",and 36.81% of them "requested no return" Conclusion:(1)The good development of free blood donation in Qingdao has a positive effect on promoting the donation of hematopoietic stem cells.(2)The citizen’s attitude towards the donation of hematopoietic stem cells is positive.The awareness level and willingness to donate of hematopoietic stem cells need to be improved,and this will be translated into actual donation actions.(3)The scores of donating willingness of hematopoietic stem cells and cognition scores are positively correlated with the scores of all dimensions in the attitude of donating attitude of hematopoietic stem cells.It shows that the higher the level of donation awareness of hematopoietic stem cells,the stronger the willingness to donate,the lower the score of each dimension of donation attitude,the more positive attitude,the stronger the willingness to donate.(4)Factors that affect citizens’ willingness to donate hematopoietic stem cells mainly include gender,age,education level,unpaid blood donation behavior,awareness level of hematopoietic stem cell donation,attitude level to recognize donation value,and attitude level that hinder donation behavior.(5)The implementation of preferential policies for hematopoietic stem cell donation will have a positive impact on encouraging hematopoietic stem cell donation.
