Purpose: On the basis of observing the clinical effect of triple needling combined with conventional needling, this paper aims for exploring more effective method forthe treatment of secondary sciatica derived from lumbar disc herniation. Methods: The patients included in this clinical research institute are all patients who went to the outpatient department and inpatient department of the Fourth Department of Acupuncture of the First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine from September 2018 to October 2019.60 patients who met the inclusion criteria of this study and voluntarily participated in this experimental study were divided into treatment group and control group by random number table with 30 patients in each group. The treatment group was mainly treated with triple needling combined with conventional needling, while the control group with conventional needling. The treatment group and the control group selected the same acupoints: Bilateral Yaojiaji acupoint corresponding to the diseased lumbar disc herniation,Shenshu, and Huantiao,Yinmen,Weizhong,Yanglingquan,Xuanzhongand Qiuxu Zusanli on the affected side. The treatment group selected Yaojiaji Huantiaoand Yanglingquanacupoint on the affected side at the bilateral lesion site to use Triple needling method, while the other points were used conventional needling. Both groups retained needles for 40 minutes once a day after bringing about the desired sensation.Acupuncture for 6 days a week is a course of treatment and acupuncture for2 courses. The therapeutic effect was judged by comparing the VAS(visual analogue score),JOA lumbago scale of lumbar activity degree and the total therapeutic effect before and after treatment. The above data were statistically analyzed by SPSS20.0 software.Results:1.Comparison of VAS scores between the two groups: The treatment group and the control group were compared within the group before and aftertreatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).After treatment, the treatment group and the control group were compared with each other, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The therapeutic effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.2.Comparison of JOA lumbago scale scores between the two groups: The treatment group and the control group were compared within the group before and after treatment,P<0.01,which has great statistical significance. The JOA scores of the treatment group and the control group after treatment were compared between groups,P<0.05,which hasstatistical significance. The therapeutic effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.3.Analysis of the therapeutic effect of the two groups: At the end of the two treatments, the total effective rates of cure, markedly effective, effective and ineffective in the two groups were 4 cases,16 cases,8 cases,2 cases,93.30%,respectively in the treatment group and 2 cases,9 cases,15 cases,4cases,86.70%,respectively in the control group. The clinical efficacy of the two groups after treatment was compared with P<0.05,and the difference was statistically significant. This shows that the therapeutic effect of triple needling is better than that of conventional needling group.Conclusions:1.The combination of triple needling with conventional needling and conventional needling alone can improve the symptoms of patients with sciatica secondary to cold-dampness lumbar disc herniation.2.The therapeutic effect of triple needling combined with conventional acupuncture on sciatica secondary to cold-dampness lumbar disc herniation is better than that of conventional acupuncture group.
