Research background:As aging population is growing fast, mental health promotion of the elderly becomes one of the most important strategy to construct “Healthy China”.Alcohol dependence,as a common mental disease, has features of long-term rehabilitation, high recurrence rate, enormous financial burden, etc. It has become one of the diseases that risk human health and public safety. With growing age, human performance impairs.Meanwhile,as surroundings and social status change,it is very likely that the elderly is diagnosed as various mental diseases. The consensus is that mental health and physical health is closely related and highly interactive.Nowadays, with gradually increased high rate of alcoholism every year, health problem of the elderly globalizes, and it is highly related to the goal of sustainable development. As a result, alcohol increasingly becomes a placebo to ease their both physical and mental issues. Therefore,in order to enhance treatment effect, recover health and living quality,it is indispensable to do a research on mental health status of the elderly patients and how they are mentally affected.Based on the findings, educational lectures regarding health and interventions in negative influence on the patients will be essential next.Research objectives:Firstly,to understand the mental health status of the elderly patients with alcohol dependence, analyzing its influence factors.Secondly,to put forward solutions and suggestions to improve the mental health status of the elderly in order to provide early prevention of alcohol dependence and effective treatment with factual information, thus enhancing therapeutic effect and making prevention system well-established.Thirdly,it actively responds to the mental care project of the national health commission for the elderly, and devotes itself to improving the mental health literacy of the elderly and their mental health status.Research methods:In the following study,102 elderly alcohol-dependent patients hospitalized in a Class A tertiary hospital in Heilongjiang province from June2019 to November 2019 were selected for questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of the two parts, general demographic questionnaire, and reg Kessler psychological distress scale. The paper-based questionnaire was distributed to the patients by the investigators, and information related to the patients were obtained by face-to-face investigation.Furthermore, multiple software applications and mathematics and statistics methodologies were applied during the analysis.Epidata software was utilized to establish database entry data.SPSS22.0 software was used for statistical analysis. And chi-square test and multiple regression model were used to analyze the influencing factors of mental health status of elderly alcohol-dependent patients.Research results:102 subjects completed the questionnaire.Suppose that the score of K10 determines mental health status.Between 1 and 19,24 people(23.53%)in this range, indicates good mental health status, which means extremely low risk of mental illness.Between 20 and 24,26 people(25.49%)in this range, indicates a general mental health status, which means having a low risk of mental illness.Between 25 and 29,39 people(38.24%)in this range, indicates poor mental health, which means high risk of mental illness.Between 30 and 50,39people(12.74%)in this range, indicates extremely poor mental health, which means extremely high risk of mental illness. The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that not receiving the mental health services recently, poor control effect of alcohol addiction, and less communication with children were the risk factors for the mental health of elderly alcohol-dependent patients. No debt and regular exercise were the protective factors for the mental health of elderly alcohol-dependent patients.Research conclusion:Elderly alcohol-dependent patients have worse mental health status and higher risk of other mental diseases.Financial background, frequency of work-out and accepting mental health service, alcohol addiction control effect and communication with children are the main influencing factors of mental health status of elderly alcohol-dependent patients. In order to effectively control the incidence trend of elderly alcohol dependence and improve the mental health status of elderly alcohol dependence patients, countermeasures and suggestions are put forward as follows:1.Improve the mental health status of the elderly alcohol-dependent patients and the mental health level of the elderly population2.Carry out propaganda and education on mental health to improve the disease awareness of elderly alcohol-dependent patients3.Create a harmonious family life atmosphere and improve the mental health of elderly patients4.Formulate policies and measures to restrict the production and consumption of alcohol5.Strengthen the construction of the public mental health system and build an efficient way to provide mental health service6.Improve the training system for community-level medical personnel and improve community health services...
