Investigation On Drinking Prevalence And Influencing Factors In General Population

Objective:To know drinking prevalence and its influencing factors among residents in Dalian provience.Through this investigation,we can get more information faor discuse preveation and clincal diagnosis.It can slso provide more valuable data and information for mental health project in Dalian.Meanwhile,for the construction of community mental health.Methods:All 5059 persons were sampled from the 11 areas in Dalian.The Compositc internantional Diagnostic Interview(CIDI 3.0)was used in the investigation.The diagnostic code was DSM-â…£which was established in 1994 in America.Chi-square and logistic regression we re used in the statistics.Results:(1) The lifetime rate of alcohol use disorders was 3.50%.The lifetime rate of alcohol abuse was 3.30%.The lifetime rate of Alcohol dependence was 0.80%. (2) Male(OR=0.086,95%C.I.=0.043-0.171),marital status{married (OR=1.411,95%C.I.=0.824-2.415), seperate (OR=3.210, 95%C.I.=0.611-16.861) divorced (OR=3.113,95%C.I.=1.359-7.130)},the years in school (OR=0.781,95%C.I.=0.617-0.988), early drinking age (OR=0.997,95%C.I.=0.997-0.998),persons with kinds of chronic disease (OR=1.936,95%C.I.=1.390-2.696), were significantly associatede with alcohol use disorders.Conclusion:The male prevalence of alcohol use disorders is higher than female.Different level of education has different prevalence. Alcohol use disorders are affectted by many factors.So,we suggest that inhabitant in dalian should encourage healthy drinking,scientific drinking.
