The Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Periarthritis Of Shoulder In Adhesive Stage By Tuina Conbined With Maitland Joint Mobilization

Objective:This project is aimed to study the effect of Tuina combined with Maitland Joint Mobiliztion of Periarthritis of Shoulder in Adhesive Stage,while providing a new and more effective method for clinical treatment of periarthritis of shoulder in adhesive period.Method:60 patients(single sided only)who met the diagnostic criteria of periarthritis of shoulder in adhesive period got randomly numbered then divided into two groups.Patients with odd latter-digit number got divided into study group and patients with even latter-digit number got divided into control group.Each group include 30 cases for clinical study.The experimental group was treated with Tuina combined with Maitland Joint Mobilization,while the control group was treated with Maitland Joint Mobilization.Five times of treatment is deemed as one a weekly course,and there will be two weeks' worth of treatment in total.Patient's condition will be thoroughly evaluated by utilizing VAS and JOA as basis,in the meantime,all related data will be collected and analyzed after the completion of treatment.Result:(1)Before treatment,comparative analysis of general data of patients: There were no statistical differences in age,gender,course of disease,affected side,VAS score and JOA total score between the two groups(P > 0.05),in other word,the two groups of patients had research comparability.(2)Before and after treatment,the two groups were compared and analyzed: The two groups were compared with VAS score and JOA total score,there were also differences in statistical analysis(P < 0.05),indicating that the two treatment methods had clinical efficacy in the treatment of adhesion periarthritis of shoulder.(3)Before and after treatment,the two groups were compared and analyzed: After one course of treatment,statistically significant differences can be recorded in VAS score,including shoulder joint function score,activity score and JOA total score between the two groups(P < 0.05).After the first course of treatment,compared with control group,the alternative method of study group can improve the patient's clinical symptoms better.After two courses of treatment,significant differences can be recorded in VAS score,including shoulder function score,activity score and JOA total score between the two groups(P < 0.05).That is to say,study group in the treatment of periarthritis in adhesive period yields better therapeutic result than that of control group.Conclusion:It can be seen from the research,that although both therapeutic method of them can reduce the patient's symptoms in clinical treatment,while being compared with the treatment of periarthritis of shoulder in adhesions by Maitland Joint Mobilization,the effect of Tuina combined with Maitland Joint Mobilization can make patients recover better in relatively shorter time,regardless of pain,capacity of activity,or joint function.Tuina manipulation therapy however,can relax and release the muscle from limited activity better,while Maitland Joint Mobilization can open the active joint better and perform further treatment on the range of joint movement.
