Comparison Of Meniscal Suture Repair Techniques Inside-out Versus ALL-Inside?FasT-fix? Repair

Purpose:Meniscus suture can be divided into outside in suture,which is applicable to tear of meniscus anterior horn,inside out suture,tear of meniscus posterior part,and development of meniscus suture instruments.The all inside suture technology represented by fast fix,which uses meniscus suture instruments,is also common at present.It is the same as inside out The suture technique is also suitable for the treatment of posterior meniscus tear.In this study,we will compare the efficacy of two kinds of suture techniques in the treatment of posterior meniscus tears,and provide suggestions for clinical operation selection.methods:1.Thirty six patients(sex,age,course of disease,left and right knees,with or without rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament)with posterior meniscus tear from November 2017 to November 2019 were collected.They were divided into two groups,group A and group B,with 18 cases in each group.Lysholm and Tegner scores before and after operation were recorded.2.The same preoperative preparation(disinfection,anesthesia,etc.)was performed by the same experienced surgeon: group A patients used the traditional inward outward suture technology,group B patients used the fast fix technology to suture the meniscus.3.The patients were followed up for 9-23 months,with an average of 16.5 ± 3.6 months.Physical examination was performed to observe whether McMurray test was positive,whether the knee joint was swollen,and whether there was tenderness in the joint space.4.SPSS 22.0 was used for statistical analysis andcomparative study.Results:1.According to Barrett standard,the last follow-up was to observe whether there were symptoms of the knee joint and to evaluate the healing of the knee joint.The healing rate of group A was 94.44%(17 / 18),and that of group B was 88.89%(16 / 18).At the last follow-up,Lysholm score was 88.89% in group A and 88.89% in group B.2.In group A,the Lysholm score was(52.72 ± 17.22),the Lysholm score was(85.89 ±5.79)and the postoperative Tegner score was(7.22 ± 1.00).In group B,the Lysholm score was(50.94 ± 18.25),the Lysholm score was(85.17 ± 6.70)and the postoperative Tegner score was(7.33 ± 1.03).The scores of Lysholm and Tegner in the two groups were significantly improved compared with those before operation(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups(P > 0.05)Conclusion:Compared with the two kinds of suture methods,inside out and fast fix suture have similar curative effect.The knee joint score of the two groups after operation is significantly improved compared with that before operation,and the clinical effect is satisfactory.Clinically,the appropriate suture method can be selected according to the tear of meniscus and the patient's wishes.
