Background: Discoid lateral meniscus injury is a common disease of knee joint. At present, arthroscopic surgery is the first method. The purpose of this study was to compare the clinical efficacy of two different suture methods: "inside-out" suture and "all-inside" suture in the treatment of discoid lateral meniscus injury of the knee jointMethods: A retrospective study was conducted on 48 patients with lateral discoid meniscus injury in our hospital from November 2016 to April 2018.Study two kinds of different suture method under arthroscopy, namely "inside-out" double needle stitching and "all-inside" within omnispan meniscus suture system for clinical curative effect of the lateral discoid meniscus injury, postoperative follow-up of 1 year, using visual analogue scale(VAS)pain, knee joint international literature committee(IKDC)score and the Lysholm scale comparative analysis. Results: The knee joint pain and discomfort of the patients with the two kinds of suture methods were lower than that before surgery, with statistical difference(P<0.05).There was no statistical difference between the "inside-out" double-needle suture method and the "all-inside" omnispan meniscus suture system in the treatment of lateral disc meniscus injury(P >0.05).Conclusion: Both the "inside-out" double-needle suture and the "all-inside" omnispan meniscus suture system suture for the treatment of lateral knee discoid meniscus injury can achieve good therapeutic effect recently, but the latter has less "too tight" discomfort of knee joint than the former, and the cost is higher than the former.
