Objective: to explore the correlation between serum uric acid level and renal injury in adults in central district of Huangshan,so as to better prove the importance of controlling hyperuricemia, and to prevent the occurrence of renal injury and chronic kidney disease. Methods: A clinical investigation was conducted on 19,620 residents in central district of Huangshan city, from October 2017 to December 2018,and 12,820 residents were screened for inclusion in the study.Differences in glomerular filtration rate, uric acid, urine protein, urine occult blood, blood glucose and blood lipid were compared between men and women. Then according to gender and blood uric acid level was divided into groups to analyze the relationship between uric acid level and kidney injury, blood glucose and blood lipid, and to conduct correlation, linear and regression analysis with statistical methods. Results: The total prevalence of hyperuricemia was 21.93% in the Huangshan area,Anhui, and the prevalence of hyperuricemia in men(30.49%)was significantly higher than women(12.21%).The prevalence of eGFR<60 ml/(min/1.73m2)among residents was 1.73%,including 2.29% of men and 1.13% of women.Men in hyperuricemia, abnormal glomerular filtration rate, abnormal urine protein, abnormal urea nitrogen, diabetes prevalence rate is significantly higher than female;while women in urine occult blood abnormalities, abnormal urine specific gravity, and cholesterol is significantly higher than that of men.Gender, age, total cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood glucose were significantly correlated with serum uric acid levels.Regardless of men and women, blood uric acid levels are also significantly associated with renal function, including urinary protein, urinary occult blood, estimated glomerular filtration rate, and serum creatinine.Hyperuricemia is an independent risk factor for renal impairment after adjusting for confounding factors. Conclusion: There is a significant difference between men and women in hyperuricemia and renal dysfunction;hyperuricemia is an independent risk factor for renal injury.
