Efficacy Of Purging Stomach And Invigorating Spleen Acupuncture Therapy Combined With Metformin On Simple Obesity

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Purging Stomach and Invigorating Spleen Acupuncture Therapy combined with Metformin on simple obesity,providing a new clinical treatment Methods for obesity.Methods:In this study,94 patients with simple obesity who met the inclusion criteria were selected as research objects and randomly arranged to 3 groups,by composed of acupuncture group,drug group,and combination of acupuncture and medicine group,which consist 30 patients,33patients and 31 patients respectively.All patients were on the basis of the same diet and exercise.Acupuncture and medicine combination group was treated with the method of Purging stomach and invigorating spleenZusanli,iNeiting,Hegu,Quchi and Zhongwan were treated with the method of lifting,inserting,twisting and catharsis.Pishu,Sanyinjiao and Taibai were treated with the method of lifting,inserting,twisting and supplementing.Pishu did not retain the needle.Acupuncture was treated once every other day,3 times a week.On this basis,metformin hydrochloride was taken orally,0.85g/time,twice a day once.The observation period was 3 months.Acupuncture group only received acupuncture treatment,drug group only used drug treatment.The observation period was 3 months.The body weight,body mass index(BMI),waist circumference,hip circumference,waist to hip ratio(WHR),FPG,TC,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C and fins were recorded before and after the treatment,and the curative effect was compared and evaluated.Results:(1)Analysis of clinical efficacy:after three courses of treatment,comparing the effective of three groups,the combination group of acupuncture and medicine with a total clinical effective rate of 93.3%;the drug group with a total clinical effective rate of 76.7%;the acupuncture group's effective rate was 80.0%.The effective rate of the combination of acupuncture and medicine group was remarkably higher than both of the other two groups(drug group and acupuncture group),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)Body weight,BMI,waist circumference,hip circumference and waist hip ratio after treatment:after treatment,the body weight,BMI,waist circumference,hip circumference and waist hip ratio of the three groups were significantly lower than before treatment,indicating that the three groups of patients have achieved good results by treatment.It means that the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that in weight loss,reducing waist circumference,hip circumference,waist hip ratio,the combination of acupuncture and medicine group was significantly better than the drug group and acupuncture group.(3)Biochemical indicators:FPG?FINS?TC?TG?LDL-C were significantly decreased and HDL-C was significantly increased in three groups after treatment,which showed that the three groups were clinically effective,and it has statistical significance comparing with no treatment(P<0.05).The effect of acupuncture and medicine combination group was significantly improved compared with acupuncture group and drug group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05)Conclusion:The treatment of Purging Stomach and Invigorating Spleen Acupuncture combined with metformin on simple obesity can significantly reduce body weight and related obesity indicators,,improve blood lipid level,and it Clinical efficacy is higher than that of drug.
