To Observe The Effect Of Simple Obesity Of The Syndrome Of Spleen Deficiency And Stagnation Of Dampness Treated By Thread Imbedding On The Spleen And Stomach Mu-hu Point

There are more and more people suffering from obesity . Obesity , especially excess weight in the abdominal region , is a major risk factor for heart disease , diabetes , abnormal blood lipids , and other vascular diseases in the 21st century . The traditional Chinese acupuncture has clinically effective in treating local areas as well as regulating organs , energy channels , blood and qi . Simple obesity is a kind of disease that need continuously long-time to cure . There would be some latent vice-reaction if patients are treated by medicine for a long time . Comparison with medicine treatment .acupuncture treatment is a kind of safety , health and effective method for simple obesity, which deserves expansion and application .The point selection of the treatment group is the spleen and stomach mu-hu point , base on the disease differentiation combined with syndrome differentiation. The patients were treated base on the syndrome of spleen deficiency and stagnation dampness . This kind o obesity in treatment group is most commonly seen .Based on the date of clinical and mechanism studies on acupuncture treatment of obesity , it is an imbalance of the spleen and stomach function , a loss of the clearing-down" of the liver and an imbalance of kidney yin and yang , but the imbalance of the spleen and stomach is the most important factor to obesity . So the author selected the spleen and stomach point to balance their function to reduce the body weight .The mu-hu point is different from the routine differentiated point : the mu-hu upoint , the far and near point of the disease position , the front and behind point of the body ,…and so on .So the spleen and stomach mu-hu point is different from the routine point .To observe the effect of treatment by thread imbedding on the spleen and stomach mu-hu point is the focal point of research , obesity is belong to the long-term and chronic disease , the effect of treatment by thread imbedding on point is also belong to the long-term effect. The author selected to treat obesity by thread imbedding on point. The total effective rate in treatment group(90%)was higher than that in control group (73.33% P<0.05) , according to the standard diagnostic, by t test, so the effective rate of simple obesity treated by imbedding on the spleen and stomach mu-hu point was higher than on the routine differentiated point .The treatment combined with proper control of diet, sport and other methods can increase the effect of reduction of body weight ; and regulation of the satiety center , inhibition of excessive appetite and mobilization of decomposition of lids are an ideal program. The scientific combination of diet and proper sports are a tactic for prevention from rebounding of body weight after slimming treatment . [Objective]: To observe the effect of simple obesity treated by thread imbedding on the spleen and stomach mu-hu point, the patients were treated based on the syndrome of spleen deficiency and stagnation of dampness. This kind of obesity is the most commonly seen . [Methods]: 60 patients with simple obesity were randomly divided into two groups .Patients in treatment group (n=30) were treated by thread imbedding on the spleen and stomach mu-hu point. Patients in control group (n=30) were treated by thread imbedding on the routine differentiated point .[Results]: To measure the body mass index (BMI) and the body weight , according to the standard diagnostic to observe a effect of reducing weight , by t test , proved that the total effective rate in treatment group (73. 33%) was higher than that in control group (90% P<0. 05) . [Conclusion]: The effective rate of simple obesity treated by imbedding on the spleen and stomach mu-hu point was higher than on the routine differentiated point .
