ObjectiveThe comprehensive geriatric assessment(CGA)method was used to comprehensively evaluate the daily living ability, nutrition and frailty of the elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in stable stage and individualized intervention measures were formulated according to the assessment results,in order to provide a new idea for improving the life status and prognosis of the elderly patients with copd during the stable period.MethodsFrom September 2018 to August 2019,120 elderly patients with COPD were selected from the COPD management clinic of our hospital, including 103 males and 17 females,Age?65,with an average age of 71.26 ± 5.74 years. All patients met the criteria of the 2019 Global Initiative for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(Gold Guidelines)for the stable phase of COPD.The patients were randomly divided into the control group and the comprehensive intervention group. The control group was treated with antitussive and expectorant therapy, antispasmodic and antiasthmatic therapy. The comprehensive intervention group, based on the treatment of the control group, evaluated the nutritional status, the elderly's weakness, and the ability of daily life.According to the results of the evaluation, the individual intervention strategies were made.Follow up once in the first month, the third month and the sixth month respectively for half a year.Observation indicators:1.The changes of comprehensive scores after treatment in the two groups:nutritional status score, senile debilitation score, daily living ability score;2.The changes of pulmonary function in the two groups after treatment:Forced expired volume in one second(FEV1),Forced vital capacity(FVC),Ratio of active value to prediction(FEV1%pred);3.Changes of clinical symptom score and Life state after treatment in two groups:CAT score and TDI score.Results1.Compared with the control group, the scores of nutritional status and daily living ability in the comprehensive intervention group increased more significantly(P<0.05);the scores of debilitating status decreased more significantly(P<0.05).2.FEV1 and FEV1%pred in the comprehensive intervention group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),FVC increased compared with the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).3.Compared with the control group, the CAT score in the comprehensive intervention group decreased more significantly, and the difference in the decreased value was statistically significant(P<0.05);the TDI score in the comprehensive intervention group increased more significantly, and the difference in the increased value was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions1.Comprehensive evaluation and intervention measures can significantly improve the nutritional status, debilitating status and daily living ability of elderly patients with COPD.2.Comprehensive evaluation and intervention can significantly improve FEV1 and FEV1%pred levels in elderly patients with COPD.3.Comprehensive evaluation and intervention measures can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and quality of life of elderly patients with COPD.
