ObjectChronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)is a commonly encountered chronic disease of the respiratory system, with high disability and mortality, which brings a heavy burden to the society and the family. To evaluate the cognition function of patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)and analyze the factors that affect the cognition function through two kinds of scale(mini-mental state examination and Montreal cognitive assessment scale).MethodsTotally 73 patients who is in the stable period of COPD were selected as the case group, they stayed at FuYang People's Hospital during October 2017 to January 2018.Meanwhile,51 healthy adults who received health examination in FuYang People's Hospital during the same period were selected as the control group.there was no significant difference in age, sex, education degree and smoking index between patients with COPD and control group(P>0.05).The cognition differences between patients with COPD and healthy subjects were evaluated through two kinds of scales respectively. The associated factors such as age, sex, smoking index, course of disease, education degree,PaO2,PaCO2,et al were analyzed in the form of simple linear correlation analysis.ResultsThe scores of MMSE and MOCA scales of the patients with COPD were lower than those of the control group. The mean difference of two independent samples was statistically significant(P<0.05);The score of the case group was inversely proportional to the GOLD grade,The light and moderate groups scored relatively high,The extreme serious group got the lowest scores, the difference of scores among these groups was statistically significant(P<0.05);Education degree, smoking index, oxygen partial pressure, carbon dioxide partial pressure were correlated with the scores of the experimental groups.Among them, smoking index and carbon dioxide partial pressure were negatively correlated with the scores, while education degree and oxygen partial pressure were positively correlated with the scores.ConclusionThe cognitive function of patients with COPD declines. The worse the lung functions, the worse the cognitive functions.Education degre, smoking index, oxygen partial pressure and carbon dioxide partial pressure were correlated with patients' cognitive function. We can use clinical intervention to reduce the impact of these factors to delay the occurrence and development of MCI and improve the quality of life of patients.
