Clinical Observation Of Wenyang Huayu Decoction In Treating Acute Phase Of Ischemic Stroke(Yang Deficiency Syndrome)

Objective:To estimate the clinical efficacy and safety of using Wenyang Huayu Decoction therapy for the treatment of Acute phase of ischemic stroke(Yang deficiency syndrome).Methods:Patients who were diagnosed of ischemic stroke(Yang deficiency syndrome)in the admitted to the Inpatient department of encephalopathy of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2018 to December 2019 were selected.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,all patients were randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group on the basis of the random number table method,with 26 patients in each group.The control group received the conventional western medicine,while the treatment group received Wenyang Huayu Decoction on the basis of the control group for 14 days.The changes of neurological impairment degree neurological impairment(NIHSS score),daily living ability(ADL score),TCM syndrome score,plasma D-Dimer and Low-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol(LDL-C),safety monitoring indexes were compared before and after treatment.All clinical data were statistically analyzed using SPSS19.0statistical software.Results:(1)Clinical efficacy: The total effective rate in the treatment group was88.46% and the total effective rate of the control group was 76.92% aftertreatment.The treatment group was more effective than the control group(P<0.05).(2)NIHSS score:The NIHSS scores of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment(P<0.01).The score of the treatment group was lower than the control group after treatment(P<0.05),and the degree of reduction of score the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.01).(3)ADL score:The ADL scores of the two groups after treatment were higher than those before treatment(P<0.01).The score of the treatment group was much higher than the control group after treatment(P<0.01),and the degree of increase of score the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05).(4)TCM syndrome score:The TCM syndrome scores of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment(P<0.01).The score of the treatment group was significantly lower than the score of control groupafter treatment(P<0.01),and the degree of reduction of score the treatment group was obviously better than the control group(P<0.05).(5)Plasma levels of D-dimer and LDL-C:Plasma levels of D-dimer and LDL-C in both groups decreased after treatment compared with those before treatment(P<0.01),and the levels in treatment group are much lower than control group after treatment(P<0.05).(6)Safety evaluation:No adverse events occurred in the two groups,and there was no significant difference in safety monitoring indexes between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion:Wenyang Huayu Decoction Therapy is much better than routine western medicine treatment for patients with Acute phase of Ischemic stroke with Yang deficiency syndrome in proving the neurologicalfunction,daily living ability,TCM score as well as clinical efficacy,and it has good safety.Its mechanism may be related to the decrease of plasma level of D-dimer and LDL-C.
