Clinical Study Of Baoshen Mixture On The Treatment Of Chronic Kidney Disease Of Stage 3-4

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Baoshen Mixture,a traditional Chinese medicine,in the oral treatment of chronic kidney disease(CKD)3-4 period,the TCM syndrome of spleen-kidney qi deficiency,dampness and turbidity stasis.To explore the therapeutic effect and advantages of Baoshen Mixture in patients of CKD3-4 stage,and to provide new ideas and schemes for the treatment of chronic kidney disease with traditional Chinese medicine.Methods:Patients with CKD3-4 who met the inclusion criteria were selected and divided into control group and treatment group at random.There were no statistically significant differences in gender,age,course of disease,primary disease and renal function stage between the two groups(P>0.05).In the treatment group,Baoshen Mixture was given in addition to basic western medicine,while in the control group,only basic western medicine was given.The treatment lasted for 8 weeks.Clinical symptoms,renal function,electrolyte levels,nutritional status and safety indexes of patients in the two groups before and after treatment were observed and recorded,and then all indexes were statistically analyzed.Results:(1)TCM symptom score and symptom curative effect:In the treatment group,the clinical symptoms of fatigue,nausea and vomiting,limb edema,waist and knee tenderness,little sodium,more frequent urination,dull complexion,itchy skin and limb numbness were all improved compared with those before treatment,and the symptom scores were reduced,and the curative effect was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).The total score of TCM symptoms in the treatment group decreased more significantly than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The effective rate of TCM clinical treatment in the treatment group(71.11%)was higher than that in the control group(48.89%),with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).(2)Overall efficiency:The total effective rate of treatment in the treatment group(73.33%)was higher than that of the control group(51.11%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)Renal function:After treatment,BUN,Scr,UA and 24hUTP decreased,eGFR increased,renal index improved in the treatment group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Only BUN and UA indexes decreased in the control group(P<0.05)After treatment,the improvement of BUN and UA indexes in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).(4)Serum calcium,phosphorus and kalium:After treatment,P decreased in both groups(P<0.05),and Ca and K indicators showed no significant difference between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).(5)Nutritional status:Both groups showed improvements in hemoglobin(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better.The serum albumin level of the treatment group increased compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),and the therapeutic effect was better than that of the control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the total serum protein level before and after treatment(P>0.05).In the control group,there was no significant difference in serum albumin and total serum protein levels before and after treatment(P>0.05).(6)Safety indicators:There was no drug-related allergic reaction before and after treatment in both groups,and no abnormal changes in blood routine and liver function.Conclusion:Baoshen Mixture can improve the therapeutic effect of CKD3-4 stage patients,alleviate clinical symptoms,delay the deterioration of renal function,regulate water and electrolyte balance,improve nutritional status,and improve the quality of life of patients.No adverse reactions.
