Clinical Observation On The Therapeutic Effect Of Electroacupuncture Of Yanglingquan And Qiuxu On Primary Trigeminal Neuralgia

Objective: A new approach to the treatment of Primary Trigeminal Neuralgia(PTN)was explored by taking Yanglingquan and hillock and strong electro-acupuncture stimulation.Comparison of conventional acupoint selection and electroacupuncture combined with strong stimulation of Yanglingquan and Qiuhui in treating primary trigeminal neuralgia and conventional acupoint selection.After treatment,Visual Analogue Scale,VAS Visual Analogue Scale,VRS,VAS Visual Analogue Scale and TCM Syndrome score were used to evaluate the curative effect of Treatment Group and Control Group.Methods: A total of 72 patients with primary trigeminal Neuralgia who met the inclusion criteria were assigned 1-72 numbers,odd numbers and even numbers in the treatment group and the control group.Treatment Group: Yanglingquan and Qixu Plus electro-acupuncture plus local point selection treatment.Control Group: Conventional Acupuncture treatment.The needle was kept for 30 minutes every time,once a day for 10 days for a course of treatment,and the curative effect was counted after 3 courses of treatment.After the treatment,the curative effect was evaluated objectively by curative effect Evaluation Standard,chief complaint pain degree grading method,Vas visual analogue score and TCM symptom score.Results:1.Curative Effect Evaluation: The Treatment Group recovered 5 cases,effective 17 cases,effective 9 cases,ineffective 2 cases,the total effective rate was93.939%.In Control Group,1 case was cured,11 cases were effective,14 cases were effective,8 cases were ineffective,the total effective rate was 76.470%.The Statistical Analysis result P & Lt;0.05,the Treatment Group curative effect is better.2.Main complaint pain: both groups had significant improvement in pain before and after Treatment P & Lt;0.01,but the improvement of symptoms in the treatment group was better than that in the control group.3.Vas Visual Analogue Score: The visual analogue score before and after treatment was statistically significant in both groups(P & Lt;0.01),but the improvement of symptoms in the treatment group was significantly better than that in thecontrol group.4.TCM Symptom Score: The treatment group was better than the control group in local pain,site,trigger pain,pain duration and attack frequency,there were no significant differences in facial tic,facial burning sensation,intermittent discomfort,and facial sensory disturbance.Conclusion: Acupuncture can effectively relieve pain symptoms and improve the quality of life of patients with trigeminal Neuralgia,is an effective treatment,safe and without side effects.There is a difference between the effect of local acupoint selection and conventional acupoint selection in the treatment of primary trigeminal Neuralgia,dISTAL electroacupuncture combined with conventional acupoint selection fully plays the role of a single acupuncture characteristics,play a synergistic role.
