Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Primary Trigeminal Neuralgia With Catgut Implantation By Acupoint Penetration Needling

Objective : To observe the effect of catgut implantation through puncture on the treatment of primary trigeminal neuralgia,and to evaluate is effectiveness objectively.Method: The 40 patients with primary trigeminal neuralgia were stochastic divided into the following two groups: the treatment group was treated with catgut embedding therapy,and the control group was treated with acupuncture group,and each group had a total of 20 cases(n=two).The acupuncture group and the acupuncture treatment group were the same as the ac upoints,The main points are: Taiyang.According to the different branch amongst the pain in patients,were selected ipsilateral acupoints Sizhukong,Yangbai,Waiguan,Cuanzhu,Yintang,Ashi points for the First division trigeminal nerve;Quanliao,Xiaguan,Hegu,Ashi points for the Second division trigeminal nerve.Chengjiang,Jiache,Daying,Neiting,Ashi points for the Third division trigeminal nerve.Point selection by pattern identification: wind-cold with Fengchi,Lieque;wind-heat with Fengchi,Quchi;Sputum turbid bloking aperture with Fenglong;Syndrome of static blood with Geshu Xuehai;Deficiency of vital energy and blood with Xuehai,Guanyuan.The treatment group was repeated every seven-days,and 2 times is a course of treatment.The acupuncture group was treated with acupuncture for a period of 24 hours,and 7 times is a course of treatment,and a total of two courses were given.To observe and compare the clinical effect of the patients with primary trigeminal neuralgia treated by acupuncture and catgut embedding and acupuncture TCM clinical symptoms and signs score,the establishment of the database for statistical analysis.Results: 1.Clinical efficacy evaluation(14 days after treatment): there was no significant difference between the two groups before treatment(P BBB 0 0.05),which was comparable.(2)pain integral evaluation: 14 days after treatment,two groups of patients with pain points are declined,statistically significant difference(P < 0.05),and the treatment group(through thorn buried quad)lower than the control group(routine acupuncture group).(3)visual analogue scale assessment: 14 days after treatment,two groups of patients with visual analogue scale were decreased,statistically significant difference(P < 0.05),and the treatment group(through thorn buried quad)lower than the control group(routine acupuncture group).(4)the curative effect evaluation: treatment group total effective rate(95%)than the control group total effective rate(85%),stab show through embedded wire therapy to treat primary trigeminal neuralgia clinical curative effect is superior to the ordinary acupuncture effect.2.Follow-up(2 months)after treatment curative effect evaluation:(1)pain integral evaluation: 2 months after treatment,two groups of patients with pain points are declined,statistically significant difference(P < 0.05),and the treatment group(through thorn buried quad)lower than the control group(routine acupuncture group).(2)the visual analogue scale assessment: 2 months after treatment,two groups of patients with visual analogue scale all fell,statistically significant difference(P < 0.05),and the treatment group(through thorn buried quad)lower than the control group(routine acupuncture group).(3)the curative effect evaluation: treatment group total effective rate(95%)than the control group total effective rate(85%),stab show through embedded wire therapy to treat primary trigeminal neuralgia clinical curative effect is superior to the ordinary acupuncture effect.Conclusion: Acupuncture catgut embedding group and acupuncture group are effective in the treatment of the disease,in the treatment of primary trigeminal neuralgia acupuncture group has more advantages than embedding,and this method is more economical and easy to grasp,is a kind of green therapy,it is worth of promotion.
