objectives:To explore the application effect of mind map in the health education of urinary ostomy patients and provide new ideas and evidence for other researchers and clinical nurses to carry out health education more effectively. Methods:Three wards of the urology department of our hospital were admitted from September 2017 to November 2018.Patients who met the inclusion criteria and volunteered to participate in the study were numbered according to the order of admission, grouped according to random number table, corresponding to random numbers. The even number was the intervention group and the odd number was the control group.A total of 81 patients were enrolled and completed, and 41 patients in the control group were treated with routine health education. The patients were discharged from the hospital according to the actual situation of the patients. In the intervention group,40 patients were on the basis of routine health education. The researchers used the mind map of the stoma patient health education designed by the research team to intervene in the patients. The patients in the two groups were evaluated about Quality of life,Zarit care burden scale,Herth hope scale and complication rate at 1 month and 3 months after surgery. Results:There were no significant differences in baseline data, base quality of life, hope level, and caregiver burden between the two groups(P>0.05).The patient's quality of life has a low score for each functional module. The scores of social function(SOD)and sexual function(SEP)in the intervention group were higher than those in the control group at 1 month after surgery, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the scores of the caregiver burden scale between the intervention group and the control group at 1 month postoperatively(p>0.05),and the scores of the caregiver burden scales of both groups were low.One month after operation, the scores of the herth hope index in the intervention group were not different from those in the control group(P>0.05),and the scores of the modules in both groups were lower. The urinary system and digestive system eomplieations were less than the eontrol groupat at 1 month after surgery, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05)The score of Body function(PHD),psychological function(PSD),common symptoms and side effects(SSD),urine bag problem(UBP)in the intervention group 3 months after surgery was significantly higher than the control group. The score of the caregiver burden scale of the intervention group was significantly lower than that of the control group at 3 months after operation, that is,the burden of the caregiver in the intervention group was significantly lower than that of the control group. The scores and total scores of the intimate relationship between the patients in the intervention group and the patients in the intervention group were significantly higher than those in the control group.Interventional group-related complications and the infection of urinary system were significantly less than the control group, but the digestive system complications was significantly higher than the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Mind-guided health education can help improve the quality of life of patients, reduce the burden on caregivers, improve the level of hope after surgery, and reduce the incidence of complications.Practical and efficient health education methods provide new ideas and evidence for other researchers and clinical nurses to carry out health education more effectively.
