An Investigation Of Trends In Mortality And Causes Of Death Among Children Under 5 Years Of Age From 2010 To 2016 In Dafeng District,yancheng City

Objective:To understand the gender composition,age composition,cause of death and the change trend of the health service before death for children under 5 years old from 2010 to 2016 in dafeng district,yancheng city.Methods:Analysis of the death of children under 5 years old from 2010 to 2016 collected by "three network" monitoring data in dafeng district,yancheng city.And calculated the mortality of children under 5 years old of each year,gender composition,age composition,the main cause of death and distribution composition of the health service before death.Results:The mortality of children under 5 years old basic downward trend year by year from 2010 to 2016 in dafeng district,yancheng city.There was no difference between boys' mortality and girls' mortality.Neonatal mortality was the highest in age composition.The top five causes of death for children under 5 years old were:drowning,congenital heart disease,premature birth and low birth weight,birth asphyxia,accidental suffocation.The number of deaths in the hospital was 48.72%,the number of deaths on the way was 16.41%,the number of deaths at home was 38.47%,respectively.The number of children under 5 years old receiving treatment before death was 73.85%.Conclusion:The mortality of children under 5 years old in dafeng district,yancheng city is lower than the target of the child development outline,but there is still room for descent.We should continue to actively promote medical examination before marriage and eugenics health examination before childbirth,strengthen perinatal health care management,expand the neonatal disease screening for diseases,strengthen the construction of obstetric and pediatric department and the investment in health resources,carry out health education through a variety of forms,in order to control and reduce the mortality of children under 5 years old in dafeng district,yancheng city.
