Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of He Chang Ointment combined with western medicine in the treatment of yin deficiency and yang excessive type hypertension with anxiety state.Observe the changes of blood pressure,TCM syndrome score, anxiety state score and quality of life score before and after treatment. The promotion and application provides more clinical basis. Methods From the outpatient department or inpatient department of Cardiovascular Department of the People's Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.70 patients with essential hypertension(yin deficiency and yang excessive type)and anxiety state were selected according to the inclusion criteria. They were randomly divided into experimental groups by random number table method. There were 35 cases in the experimental group and 35 cases in the control group. The control group was given flupirtine and melitraceine tablets 10.5mg bid + amlodipine tablets 2.5mg qd;if the blood pressure is not up to standard, amlodipine tablets to 5mg qd;blood pressure still not up to standard, plus valsartan capsules 80 mg qd,or hydrochlorothiazide tablets 12.5-25 mg qd,for two or three drugs. The experimental group was given He Chang Ointment 20 g bid on the basis of the control group, and both groups were treated for 12 weeks. The changes of blood pressure,TCM syndrome scores, anxiety status scores and quality of life scores were observed before and after treatment, and the results were statistically analyzed. Results 1.Comparison before treatment: The study actually completed 60 cases, including 30 cases in the control group and 30 cases in the test group. There were no significant differences in gender, age, and duration between the two groups(P>0.05).Before treatment, the systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure,TCM syndrome score, anxiety state score, and quality of life score were compared between the two groups. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).and the groups were comparable.2.Antihypertensive effect: After treatment, the systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure of the two groups were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),and the decrease of the test group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05),indicating that the test group had better antihypertensive effect than the control group.3.TCM syndrome: After treatment, the TCM syndrome scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),indicating that the TCM syndromes of both groups were improved;and the decrease of the test group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05),indicating that the TCM syndromes in the experimental group were better than the control group.4.Anxiety: After treatment, the scores of anxiety self-rating scale(SAS)of the two groups were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),indicating that the anxiety symptoms of both groups were improved earlier than that of the control group;(P<0.05),indicating that the experimental group was superior to the control group in improving anxiety symptoms.5.Quality of life: After treatment, the quality of life scale(SF-12)scores of the two groups were higher than those before treatment(P<0.05),indicating that the quality of life of the two groups improved earlier;and the increase of the test group higher than the control group(P<0.05),indicating that the test group was superior to the control group in improving the quality of life.6.The two groups of patients were monitored for safety indicators such as blood, urine, stool routine, liver and kidney function, and electrocardiogram during the treatment. No obvious abnormalities were found. Conclusion He Chang Ointment combined with western medicine has synergistic antihypertensive effect on patients with yin deficiency and yang excessive type hypertension and anxiety. It can improve patients' TCM clinical syndrome more effectively, relieve patients' anxiety and improve their quality of life, and the curative effect is better than simple western medicine treatment;the results of the study show that He Chang Ointment has no obvious side effects, high safety,it is worth further clinical application.
