ObjectivesThe study aimed to understand the incidence of postpartum depression and its related factors among women who gave a birth in the obstetrics department of Lanzhou University Second Hospital.According to the risk factors of postpartum depression,we can formulate prevention and treatment measures.MethodsWomen who gave a birth in the obstetrics department of Lanzhou University Second Hospital from January 2018 to September 2018 were selected as the research subjects according to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria.Women were surveyed within 3 to 5 days after delivery in the form of a questionnaire.The questionnaire includes basic information of maternal general conditions,perinatal conditions,social support rating scale and Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale.In this study,10 points were taken as the critical value.An EPDS score of 10 or above indicated postpartum depression.We used Epidata 3.1 software and SPSS20.0 to enter data and analysis.T test and?~2 test were used to analyze the related factors.Eleven factors with statistical difference(P<0.05)were taken as independent variables,and postpartum depression was taken as a dependent variabl-e.After reassignment,Multivariable logistic regression analysis was carried out.Results1.Postpartum depression:450 questionnaires were distributed and 427 valid questionnaires were collected.The response rate were 94.89%and there were 74women who affected by postpartum depression.The incidence of postpartum depression was 17.33%.2.Single analysis results:income,education level,previous history of adverse pregnancy,amount of breast milk,feeding methods,sleep quality,whether the sex of the newborn meets the expectations of couples,whether the newborn is admitted to the neonatal department,maternal character,relationship with the in-laws,Social support were related factors in postpartum depression(P<0.05).3.Multivariate analysis results:Studies have shown that the risk factors for postpartum depression included:low income,low level of education,poor sleep quality after delivery,female baby,which the newborn is admitted to the neonatal department,introverted personality,poor relationship with the in-laws,low social support(P<0.05).Conclusions1.The incidence of postpartum depression in the obstetrics department of Lanzhou University Second Hospital is at a relatively high level,which is slightly higher than the incidence of postpartum depression in northwestern China(13.1%).2.The low income of the maternal family,the low level of education,the poor quality sleep after delivery,that newborns are admitted to the neonatal department,disappointment with the new baby gender,introverted character and the poor relationship with the in-laws are independent risk factors for postpartum depression.High social support is a protective factor for postpartum depression.
