Association Between Postpartum Depression And Obstetric Factors,the Overall Psychological Status And Social Support

Background:There is significant impairment for postpartum depression to influence the health of maternity and the life of newborns.It is important for the diagnosis of postpartum depression and analysis of its related factors to treat,prevent and improve prognosis of the postpartum depression.Objectives:To explore the status of postpartum depression,the relationship between postpartum depression and obstetric factors,global mental status,social support in postpartum women.Methods:All subjects were selected from who give birth in Jinan Maternal and Child Care Hospital from January 2018 to July 2018.A total of 258 mothers were selected and assessed with a self-designed information questionnaire,Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale(EPDS),Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS),Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90).According to the results of EPDS,all subjects were divided into study group for the women with postpartum depression and control group for the women without postpartum depression.The data were analyzed by software of SPSS 21.0 and the descriptive analysis,Chi-square,t test,logistic regression were used for the statistical analysis.Results1.The status of postpartum depression:There were 258 women in the study finally.There were 57 women with postpartum depression in study group and 201 women without postpartum depression.It was 22.09%for the detection rates of postpartum depression.2.The compare of the obstetric factors between study group and control group;delivery times,times of bringing up in study group were all significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.05).There were no significant differences for the age of patients,times of pregnancy,times of abortion,incomes of patients,gestational age,health status of patients,status of labor analgesia,status of rooming-in,education of patients,sex of new born,mode of delivery between study group and control group(P>0.05).3.The compare of the scores of SCL-90 between study group and control group:All factors and total scores of SCL-90 in study group were all significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.05).4.The compare of the scores of SSRS between study group and control group:All factors and total scores of SSRS in study group were all significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.05).5.The related analysis of the scores of EPDS and the scores of SCL-90,SSRS in study group:The emotion absence factor scores of EPDS were positively related to the somatic,obsessive,depression,phobia,psychotic factor scores of SCL-90(P<0.05).The anxiety factor scores of EPDS were positively related to the anxiety,phobia factor scores of SCL-90(P<0.05).The depression factor scores of EPDS were positively related to the obsessive,depression,anxiety,phobia,psychotic factor scores of SCL-90(P<0.05).The total scores of EPDS were positively related to the obsessive,depression,anxiety,phobia,psychotic factor scores of SCL-90(P<0.05).The emotion absence,depression factor and total scores of EPDS were positively related to the total scores of SCL-90(P<0.05).The emotion absence,depression factor scores of EPDS were negatively related to the support availability factor scores of SSRS(P<0.05).6.Multivariate analysis of the related factors for postpartum depression:The results of multi-factor unconditional logistic regression analysis showed the incidence of postpartum depression was positively related to the hostility factor scores of SCL-90(P<0.05)and negatively related to the incomes of patients(P<0.05).The risk factors of postpartum depression included high hostility to outside,poor incomes of the patients.Conclusions1.It is 22.09%for the detection rates of postpartum depression which is almost same to the average level in China.2.There is relationship between the incidences of postpartum depression and the delivery times,the times of bringing up,global mental status,social support in the maternity patients.3.There is relationship between the level of postpartum depression and the global mental status,social support in the mothers with postpartum depression.4.The risk factors of postpartum depression were high hostility to outside,poor incomes in the mothers.
