The Effect Of Therapy Of Upper Limb Fumigation For Functional Recovery After Shoulder Arthroplasty Of Proximal Humerus Fracture

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of upper limb fumigation for functional recovery after shoulder replacement for proximal humeral fracture.Methods: 30 patients with complicate proximal humeral fractures in Zhangzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from February 2017 to August 2018 were randomly divided into control group and experimental group with 15 cases in each group.Both groups were treated with Shoulder Arthroplasty.Patients in the control group were given routine rehabilitation exercises after surgery,while patients in the experimental group were fumigated and washed with Chinese herbal medicine based on rehabilitation exercises.TO obersve the VAS score,shoulder range of motion,Constant-Murley score at 2,6,12 week after surgery,and the overall efficacy at 24 week after surgery evaluation.The data were collected for statistical analysis.Results: All the 30 patients were followed up for 24 weeks.(1)Compared with the control group,the distribution of sex,age,injury side and Neer typing in the experimental group(P>0.05),is no significant difference.(2)The VAS score: there was no significant difference between the two groups at 2 weeks after operation(P>0.05);there was significant difference between the two groups at 6 weeks after operation(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in VAS score between the two groups at 12 weeks and 24 weeks after surgery(P>0.05).(3)In the aspect of shoulder joint range of motion(including forward flexion,backward extension,abduction,adduction,external rotation and internal rotation).There was no significant difference in shoulder joint range of motion in all directions between the two groups at 2 weeks after surgery(P>0.05);there was significant difference in shoulder joint mobility in all directions between the two groups at 6 weeks and 12 weeks after surgery(P<0.05);24 weeks after surgery,there was no significant difference in shoulder joint mobility in all directions between the two groups(P>0.05).(4)In the shoulder joint Constant-Murley score: there was no significant difference between the two groups at 2 weeks after surgery(P>0.05);there was significant difference between the two groups at 6,12 and 24 weeks after surgery(P < 0.05).(5)Comparing the curative effect of the two groups 24 weeks after surgery,the effective rate of the experimental group was 100%,and that of the control group was 86.67%.The difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion: Fumigation and washing with Chinese herbal medicine combined with rehabilitation exercise after shoulder replacement for proximal humeral fracture is more effective than simple rehabilitation exercise in alleviating shoulder pain,improving shoulder function,increasing patients' satisfaction.
