The Clinical Effect Of Upper Limb Fumigation Combined With Functional Exercise On Wrist Function After External Fixation With Plaster For Distal Radius Fracture

Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of upper limb fumigation combined with functional exercise on wrist function after external fixation with plaster for distal radius fracture.Methods:A total of 60 patients with distal radius fractures diagnosed in the third orthopedics department in Xiamen hospital of traditional Chinese medicine from January 2018 to December 2018 and treated with manipulative closed reduction and external fixation with plaster were selected.The patients were divided into control group and experimental group by random number table method,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with routine functional exercise,and the experimental group was treated with upper limb fumigation on the basis of routine functional exercise.Functional exercise and upper limb scrubbing were divided into twice in the morning and evening,each time 30 minutes,one course of treatment every 4 weeks.Visual analogague pain scale and Mayo Modified Wrist Score were observed before and 4 weeks after evaluate the overall efficacy.All data were statistically analyzed by SPSS 20.0 statistical software.Results:(1)Comparison of general information:there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in general information(age,gender,etc.)(P>0.05).(2)Comparison of VAS:there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in VAS before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,VAS of both groups showed a decreasing trend.There were statistically significant differences in VAS before and after treatment between the two groups(P>0.05),and VAS after treatment between the experimental group and the control group(P<0.05).(3)Mayo Modified Wrist Score and improvement rate,Mayo wrist function score after 4 weeks of treatment was significantly superior to the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: The clinical effect of upper limb fumigation combined with functional exercise on wrist function after external fixation of distal radius fracture with plaster plaster is better than that of simple functional exercise.
