Objective1Investigate the self-efficacy achievement motivation, research capabilities and research behavior of the nursing postgraduates.2Analyze the influence of the nursing postgraduates" self-efficacy and achievement motivation to research capacity and research behavior.MethodSurvey the nursing postgraduates(research-based type) of the Peking Union Medical College, Beijing University and other10universities by General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES), Achievement Motivation Scale(AMS), the Nursing Postgraduates’ Scientific Research Capacity Questionnaire for the study. The Nursing Postgraduates’Scientific Research Capacity Questionnaire included research capacity evaluation questionnaire and research behavior questionnaire, and adopt method of expert advice and pilot of small sample for testing reliability and validity of questionnaire. Use the internal consistency coefficient, test-retest reliability, content validity S-CVI/Ave, exploratory factor analysis, correlation analysis as indicators to evaluate reliability and validity of questionnaire. Survey methodology use field survey, setting investigators in investigated schools, field survey by investigator. Data processing and analysis by SPSS17software, use statistical description, univariate analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis on data for statistical analysis.Results1The nursing postgraduates’scientific research capacity evaluation questionnaire have good reliability and validity. Internal consistency coefficient of Cronbach’s a was0.93, six dimensions Cronbach’s a from0.75to0.94.Test-retest reliability was0.92. Content validity of the questionnaire S-CVI/Ave was0.95. Extracts six common factors by exploratory factor analysis, cumulative variance contribution rate of six factors was67.044%,the correlation coefficients of factors and items were0.659-0.933, the correlation coefficients between factor were0.512~0.751, the correlation coefficients between factors and total point were0.746~0.916.2Self-efficacy of Nursing postgraduates was (28.24±0.45), levels comparable with domestic postgraduates. Nursing postgraduates motivation of pursue success (Ms) was (35.53±8.01), motivation of avoid failure (Mf) was (33.82±8.29), achievement motive (Ms-Mf) was (1.51±10.11), comparable with domestic medical postgraduates.3The nursing postgraduates’research capacity scores was (87.45±17.41), inspection and evaluation literature capacity latitude scored the highest, nursing postgraduates’ scientific research capacity increased with grade. Nursing postgraduates’scientific research capacity were positive correlated with self-efficacy and achievement motivation, grades and self-efficacy is predict variables for nursing postgraduates’ scientific research capacity, standardized regression coefficients were0.431and0.480.4The nursing postgraduates’research behavior relatively concentrated, focused mainly on papers, presided over the project only7.2%, nursing postgraduates’ research behavior increased with the grade considerably. The levels of nursing postgraduates’ scientific research behavior were positive correlated with self-efficacy, and the level of published papers behavior positive correlated with achievement motive.Self-efficacy and achievement motive had predictive role for publishing papers behavior of the nursing postgraduates, standardized regression coefficients were1.117and1.046, self-efficacy was positive predictor for nursing postgraduates to participate in meetings, standardized regression coefficients was1.269.Conclusions1"Nursing Postgraduates’Scientific Research Capacity Questionnaire" had good reliability and validity, indicators were up to the requirements of surveying, can be used for evaluating the scientific research capacity for nursing postgraduates.2Self-efficacy forecasted the nursing postgraduates’ scientific research capacity. Self-efficacy had full intermediary role in the influence of achievement motivation to nursing postgraduates’scientific research capacity.3Self-efficacy and achievement motivation forecasted the publishing papers behavior of the nursing postgraduates. Self-efficacy was positive predictor of the nursing postgraduates to participate in meetings.
