Therapeutic Efficacy Of Vitamin D In Treatment Of Allergic Rhinitis:a Meta-analysis

Objective: To systematically investigate the therapeutic efficacy of vitamin D in treatment of allergic rhinitis so as to provide the scientific evidences for the treatment of allergic rhinitis with the vitamin D.Methods: Literature was retrieved on line in CNKI,VIP,wanfang database,CBM,Pubmed,Medline,EMBase,Cochrane up to May 1st 2018;Relevant magazines were retrieved manually.Selecting the literatures of the randomized controlled trials(RCT)on the vitamin D supplement for allergic rhinitis.Two reviewers read the literatures separately,screened the literatures and extracted the relevant information and data according to the inclusive and exclusive criteria.Statistical analyses were conducted by RevMan 5.3.3 software.Results: A total of 9 randomized controlled trials were included,with546 patients.All studies involved were not mentioned in the allocation concealment and the blinding principle of outcome evaluation;There are correct explanations for the randomization and the blinding principle of intervention in some studies;And there have no bias been found in the completeness of outcome data and selective reporting.The meta-analysis results showed that the total effective rate of vitamin D supplement in treatment of allergic rhinitis was higher than the control group,the difference had statistical significance(P<0.05,RR=1.21,95%CI 1.08~1.35);And provided a significant improvement in aspect of nasal symptom of adults with allergic rhinitis compared with control group,the difference had statistical significance(P<0.05,MD=-1.74,95%CI-2.21~-1.27);And there have no conclusions been drawn about the improvement of the serum 25(OH)D due to the large and complex heterogeneity of the inclusive studies.Conclusion: The vitamin D in treatment of allergic rhinitis achieves the satisfactory clinical effects,the total effective rate can be increased and the nasal symptom of adults with allergic rhinitis can be improved.
