Clinical Observation On Hegu Needling Fenglong Point For Treatment Of Dementia Due To Phlegm Turbidity

Objective:Observe the clinical efficacy of Hegu Needing Fenglong treatment phleg-m turbid type senile dementia,and provide an new effective method for clinical treatment of senile dementia with phleg-m turbid typeMethods:60 cases of phlegm turbid type senile dementia patients were divided into Hegu Needing Fenglong group(Hegu Needing Fenglong)including 30 people,and regular group(traditional needing)30 people with the random number table.Hegu Needing Fenglong group has 18 male patients and 12 female patients,the youngest is 65 years old,the oldest is 80 years old,the shortest disease course were 6 months and the longest were 24 months.regular group has 16 male patients and 14 female patients,the youngest is 65 years old,the oldest is 80 years old,the shortest disease course were 6 months and the longest were 24 months.Both groups adopt treatment 6 days and have a rest 1 day,continue their therapy 1 month.Adopt international diagnostic criteria and therapeutic effect criterion of TCM syndrome,The changes of Mini Mental State(MMSE),Activities of Daily Living(ADL),and Syndrome Differentiation Scale for Dementia(SDSD)are observed closely before and after treatment.Results:1.The MMSE and ADL scores of phlegm turbid type senile dementia were improved distinctly in Hegu Needing Fenglong group,compared with regular group have significant difference(P<0.05)2.The SDSD scores of phlegm turbid type senile dementia were improved distinctly in Hegu Needing Fenglong group,compared with regular group have significant difference(P<0.05)3.The total effective rate were 86.67%in Hegu Needing Fenglong group,the total effective rate were76.67%in Hegu Needing Fenglong group,two groups have significant difference(P<0.05)Conclusion:1.Hegu Needing Fenglong(ST.40)combined with traditional acupuncture treatment of dementia of type of phlegm turbid has clinical curative effect.2.This method can improve cognize function,life ability and TCM syndrome of patients,and better than traditional acupuncture treatment.The treatment is worth clinical promotion.
