ObjectiveTo observe the influence of moxibustion therapy to blood Pressure. the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome(TCM syndrome) and blood lipid level of Essential Hypertension(EH) Patients with Phlegm Dampness. in order to provide a convenient and effective nursing method, and is expected to provide a home-care therapy for these patients.MethodsThis study is randomized controlled trials, A total of 64 patients were recruited according to the diagnosis, reception and exclusion criterion during March 2015 to November 2015 in cardiovascular internal medicine clinic, and they were randomly divided into test group (32 cases) and control group (32 cases) by Excel. All patients received routine treatment and health education, while patient from the treatment group received moxibustion on points Fenglong and Zusanli (5 min for every point.20 min in total, once a day). The changes of blood pressure, blood lipid and TCM syndromes in the two groups during the intervention period were recorded and evaluated.Results1.Baseline comparisonThere was no significant difference in general condition (age, weight, sex, course of disease, education, occupation, etc), course of medication (blood pressure medication and lipid-lowering drugs), diet habits (high-salt diet.high-fat diet, etc) and exercise between the two groups before the trial (P>0.05). And there was no significant difference in SBP, DBP, pulse pressure. TCM syndrome and lipid levels(TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C). During the intervention, there was no statistically significant difference of drug use utilization every week between the two groups, In other words, the two groups characterize comparability.2.Blood pressures(1)Comparisons within group:the SBP and DBP of two groups exhibit significant decreases after treatments than the original counterparts (P<0.01).(2)Comparisons between groups:the SBP in treatment group presents a significant decrease in comparison with that in the control group after treatments (P<0.05). However, no significant difference can be observed in DBP from different groups (P>0.05).3.Lipid levels(1)Comparisons within group:Lipid levels decrease after treatments for both groups (P<0.05/P<0.01).(2)Comparisons between groups:the TC, TG levels in treatment group presents a significant decrease in comparison with that in the control group after treatments (P<0.05). However, no significant difference can be observed in HDL-C, LDL-C from different groups (P>0.05).4.TCM symptoms(1)Comparisons within group:TCM symptom scores of dizziness, headache, chest tightness, along with total scores of TCM symptoms, in the control group experience distinct reductions after treatments (P<0.05); TCM symptom scores of dizziness, headache, Vomiting, mouth 1 ight, along with total scores of TCM symptoms, in the treatment group experience distinct reductions after treatments (P<0.01). And the rest scores of TCM symptoms had no statistical significance (P>0.05).(2)Comparisons between groups:After the intervention, TCM symptom scores of dizziness, Vomiting, mouth light, along with total scores between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.01/P<0.05). There are no significant differences for the rest of TCM symptoms (P>0.05).(3)Efficiency comparison:After the intervention, the TCM syndrome effect in both groups showed that the total effective rate in test group was 83.3%,while the total effective rate in control group was 63.3%, the difference had statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion1.Moxibustion on points Fenglong and Zusanli can help reduce the SBP of Essential Hypertension Patients with Phlegm Dampness, but the effect of auxiliary decrease the DBP is not obvious.2.Moxibustion on points Fenglong and Zusanli can regulate blood lipid level in patients.3.Moxibustion on points Fenglong and Zusanli can ameliorate the TCM syndrome of Essential Hypertension Patients with Phlegm Dampness, namely the syndrome of dizziness, Vomiting, mouth light.
