Objective:To observe the clinical effect of bilateral facial representative area acupuncture on patients with acute facial neuritis, and to explore a more effective treatment for facial neuritis.Methods:60 patients with facial neuritis from outpatient department were randomly divided into two groups: the treatment group and the control group,30 cases in each group. The two groups were treated with general basic therapy, such as hormone therapy,Vitamin therapy, antiviral therapy, etc. The control group was based on the basic treatment and combined with the traditional local facial acupuncture, and the treatment group was based on the control group with acupuncture on the representative area of bilateral facial movement.Once a day, once a day for 30 minutes,6 days after the rest of the day as a course of treatment,a total of 4 courses of treatment. The curative effect was evaluated before and after 4 courses of treatment.According to the grading system of facial nerve function evaluation of House-Brackmann(H-B),facial disability index(FDI)was used as the main index of curative effect, and the score of H-B was used as the secondary index of curative effect. The data were analyzed by SPSS20.0 software to evaluate the clinical efficacy of the two groups.Results:1.House-Brackmann(H-B)facial nerve function evaluation and grading system: there was no significant difference between the two groups in the evaluation and grading of the facial nerve function before treatment, and there was no significant difference between the two groups before treatment. After treatment, the improvement degree of face in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and there was significant improvement in the two groups after treatment compared with that before treatment.2.Facial disability index(FDI): there was no significant difference in the scores of physical function and social function between the two groups before treatment, indicating that the facial disability index was comparable between the two groups before treatment. After treatment, the scores of physical function and social function in the treatment group were better than those in the control group, and the difference was significant. The results showed that the improvement degree of facial disability index after treatment in the treatment group was better than that in the control group, and the scores after internal therapy in the two groups were significantly improved, indicating that the two methods had better therapeutic effect on acute facial neuritis;3.The scoring method of the H-B scale:Comparison between two groups:there was no significant difference in all items and total scores between the two groups before treatment, and there was comparability between the two groups. After treatment, there was no significant difference in nasal vestibular activity, nasolabial groove, taste, hearing and postauricular tenderness between the two groups. The treatment group had statistical significance compared with the control group in the following aspects: frontal striae, cleft eyes, closed eyes, obliquity of teeth and mouth angle, bulging gills, total score of the treatment group compared with the control group; There was no significant difference in hearing between the two groups before and after treatment, while the other 9 items were statistically significant after treatment compared with pre-treatment.The total scores of the upper facial body sign(frontal striae, cleft eyes, closed eyes)in the two groups were compared with those of the inferior facial muscle sign(nasal vestibular activity, nasolabial sulcus, tooth and mouth angle skew, tympanic gills). There was no statistical significance in the total score of lower facial muscle sign, and it was comparable. After treatment, the total scores of the upper and lower facial muscles in the treatment group were better than those in the control group, and the total scores of the upper and lower facial muscles in the two groups were significantly improved compared with those beforetreatment, with statistical significance.4.Comparison of clinical efficacy between the two groups:The total effective rate was 93.33% in the treatment group and 86.21% in the control group. The final curative effect of the two groups was better than that of the control group.Conclusion:1.Acupuncture in bilateral representative area can significantly improve upper facial muscle signs in patients with acute facial neuritis, such as eyelid insufficiency and unfavorable eyebrow raising.2.Acupuncture in bilateral representative area has its unique advantages, which is more effective than simple facial acupuncture,it is a feasible treatment method.
