Objective To explore the peculiarity of point of transskull repeated acupuncture on peripheral facial palsy. Methods 60 cases of peripheral facial palsy were randomly divived into 3 groups. The treatment group were treated with transskull repeated acupuncture the lower point of motor area of cerebrum; the control group 1 were treated with transskull repeated acupuncture BaiHui ; and control group 2 with adopted as index, and the effect of distal motor latency, MUP amplitude were investigated. Results There was significant difference between the two control group and the treatment group. The treatment group the total effective rate is 100% by repeated acupuncture lower point of motor area of cerebrum. Repeated 3 minute's acupuncture can shorten 1.3 ms, 0.3ms. 0.1ms distal motor latency, increase 0.22mv, 0.04mv , 0.02mv amplitude and MUP amplitude 1.23 v, 0.10 v, 0.08 v. There is distinctive difference by statistical management (p<0.01). Conclusions The transskull repeated acupuncture the lower point of motor area of cerebrum is the more effective method for curing peripheral facial palsy than the two control methods. It was proved that the points had the peculiarity .
