Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy of arthroscopic surgery combined with modified Taohong Siwu decoction in the treatment of nonneurogenic heel pain. And to provide an effective method for the treatment of this disease. Methods: 42 patients be diagnosed as non-neurogenic heel pain were randomly divided into experimental group and control group. The experimental group was treated with arthroscopy combined with modified Taohong Siwu decoction, while the control group was only treated by arthroscopy.Collecting and comparing visual analogue scores and American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society Ankle-Hindfoot Score of between the experimental group and the control group 1 day before treatment and 2 weeks,1 month,3 months and 6 months after treatment. Results: All 42 patients had been following up for more than 6 months,as a result, statistical significance appears in AOFAS and VAS scores between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05).There are significant difference between the experimental group and the control group at 2 weeks,1 month, and 3 months after treatment(P<0.05),especially appears in the 3 months after treatment.Surgical failures and adverse reactions were not found in these two groups. Conclusion: Arthroscopic technique combined with modified Taohong Siwu decoction does show a favorable efficacy in the treatment of nonneurogenic heel pain and provides references for clinical application and promotion.
