Investigations On The Efficacy Of Modified Taohong Siwu Decoction In An Early Pain In Neck Following Upper Cervical Fracture Surgery

Objective:To observe the efficacy of modified taohong siwu decoction in an early pain in neck following upper cervical spine fracture surgery.Methods:43 patients who occurred in upper cervical spine fractures in the case of Fuzhou General Hospital of Nanjing Military Region during November 2014 to December 2015, were randomly divided into 2 groups.The treatment group (taohong siwu decoction) 22cases and control group (ck) 21 cases. Since 2d,the treatment group was treated for 14 days.There are 7 days for a course as total of two period of treatment.We record two groups of patients with early pain VAS score,blood sedimentation and C-reactive protein levels, the daily life ability scale(Modified Barthel Index,MBI)evaluation of patients daily living ability,evaluation of patients with pain.All the data was analysised by SPSS 17.0.Results:1.General information:patients of two groups in age,gender,degree of upper cervical fracture and fracture of segmental injury,medication of pain was no significant difference (P>0.05).2.Compare clinical pain score (VAS):Patients of two groups’statistical results there were no significant difference in 2 days(P>0.05).The treatment group improved level is lower than the control group in 9 days(P<0.05);treatment group improved more than the control group significantly in 16 days(P<0.05).3.The blood sedimentation and C-reactive protein changed comparison:Two groups of blood sedimentation and C-reactive protein had no significant statistical difference in 2 days(P>0.05).Patients blood sedimentation and C-reactive protein had differences significant statistical significance in 9 days(P<0.05);patients of blood sedimentation,C-reactive protein associated indicators significantly decreased more than the control group in 16 days(P<0.05).4. Modified Barthel Index(MBI) score comparison:Daily life ability scores of two groups had no significant difference in 2 days(P>0.05).The daily life ability of treatment group is better than that of control group, there was a significant difference in 9 days(P<0.05).Compared with control group,scores of treatment group improve more clearly.There were significant differences in 16 days(P<0.05).5.Pain curative effect evaluation:Before the treatment,two groups of patients compared with pain level,there was no significant statistical difference (P>0.05);pain level of treatment group was lower than the control group.The treatment group had significant difference in 9 days(P<0.05),curative effect of treatment group is better than that of control group in 16 days(P<0.05).Conclusion:Patients who were treated by modified taohong siwu decoction can alleviate the neck pain symptoms of cervical vertebra, recover patients as soon as possible, be worthy of clinical popularization and application.
