Objective: The aim of this study is to assess the effect of vitamin D as an adjuvant therapy for bronchiolitis in infants by meta-analysis.Methods: A search was performed in Pubmed database,OVID database.China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)database,Weipu database and Wanfang database,covering all studies until December15 2017.Statistical analysis was performed by using Revman5.3 and STATA 14.0.Result: The meta-analysis showed that the total effective rate of vitamin D supplement was higher in the treatment group compared to the control group.The addition of vitamin D could also shorten the duration of wheeze and cough,clearance time of sign and the length of hospital stay.The improvement of 25-(OH)D3 ?IgA and IgG were superior to those in the control group.The half-a-year wheeze frequency were similar between the treatment group and the control group.Conclusion: As an adjuvant therapy,vitamin D achieves the satisfactory clinical effects on bronchiolitis in infant.Since there is not as much the clinical researches at present.A large-sized sample,multi-centered and high-quality clinical trial is required to provide more reliable and accurate evaluation results.
