Observation On The Efficacy Of Acupuncture Combined With New Type Of Intradermal Needle On Mild-to-moderate Post-stroke Depression

Objective : To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with new type of Intradermal Needle in the treatment of Mild-to-moderate Post-stroke Depression.Method: 72 patients with mild to moderate PSD were randomly divided into two groups,36 cases in each group.We chose Baihui(GV20),Shenting(GV24)as well as Yintang(GV29)as basic acupoints.The control group was treated with acupuncture alone.The treatment group was treated in acupuncture combined with new type of Intradermal Needle.The changes of24(HDRS-24)scores and Barthel index(BI)scores of Hamilton Depression Scale before and after treatment were observed,and the clinical effects of the two groups were compared.Result: 1.There were no significant differences in gender,age,duration of disease,primary disease,hemiplegia,and NIHSS scores between the two groups(P>0.05).2.The HDRS scores of the two groups were compared before and after treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).The differences of BI scores between the two groups before and after treatment were statistically significant(P<0.01).Besides,there was a statistically significant difference in the HDRS scores between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in the BI score between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05).3.After the treatment,the total effective rate of the two groups was compared.The total effective rate was 88.6% in the acupuncture combined with new type of Intradermal Needle group and 74.3% in the acupuncture group.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion : 1.Acupuncture combined with new type of Intradermal needle and simple acupuncture can effectively treat mild to moderate depression after stroke,and is conducive to the recovery of depression and physical dysfunction in patients with mild to moderate depression afterstroke;2.In the HDRS and BI scales to assess patients' depressive symptoms and living activities,acupuncture combined with new sputum treatment is significantly better than simple acupuncture treatment,and the new sputum treatment can also accumulate the effective time of acupuncture.Reducing the pain and fear that repeated acupuncture brings to the patient deserves further study.
