Clinical Observation Of Modified Cangfudaotan Decoction In The Treatment Of Spleen Deficiency And Phlegm-dampness In Adolescent Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of Modified Cang Fu Dao Tan Deco-ction in the treatment of spleen deficiency and phlegm-dampness syndrome in adolescent polycystic ovary syndrome.The effects of serum testosterone,luteinizing hormone levels,the ratio of luteinizing hormone to follicle stimulating hormone and ovarian volume in children were observed.Methods:A total of 60 patients with adolescent polycystic ovary syndrome who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.The treatment group was given oral Chinese medicine decoction which was Modified Cang Fu Dao Tan Decoction,and the control group was given metformin hydrochloride tablets.The observation period was 12 weeks.After 12 weeks,the TCM syndrome score of the two groups were recorded for efficacy and safety assessment.The serum testosterone,luteinizing hormone levels,the ratio of luteinizing hormone to follicle stimulating hormone and ovarian volume in children were measured before and after treatment.Results:1.Clinical total efficacy: The total effective rate of the treatment group was 80.0%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 73.3%.There was no significant difference in efficacy between the two groups.(P>0.05)2.Comparison of TCM syndrome score:The scores in menstrual cycle,body fat and secondary symptom between the two groups were statistical significance before and after treatment(P<0.05);After treatment,the difference between the two groups was also statistical significance(P<0.05).This indicated that both groups of treatment could improve the above symptoms of patients.and the treatment group was superior to the control group.The integral aspect of hirsutism between the two groups,before and after treatment between the treatment group and the control group,P>0.05,there was no significant difference.Comparison of hormone levels:The serum testosterone,luteinizing hormone levels and the ratio of luteinizing hormone to follicle stimulating hormone in the treatment group were statistical significant before and after treatment(P<0.05).Comparison of ovarian volume:The ovarian volume before and after treatment between the two groups of patients,P>0.05,there was no significant difference.Conclusion:1.Modified Cang Fu Dao Tan Decoction is clinically effective in the treatment of adolescent polycystic ovary syndrome,which is equivalent to metformin hydrochloride tablets.2.Modified Cang Fu Dao Tan Decoction can improve menstrual cycle,body fat and secondary symptom:significantly reduce serum testosterone,luteinizing hormone levels and the ratio of luteinizing hormone to follicle stimulating hormone and improve sexual hormone disorder.However,the improvement of hirsutism and ovarian volume,P>0.05,there is no significant difference.3.Modified Cang Fu Dao Tan Decoction is safe and effective in treating adolescent polycystic ovary syndrome.
