Objective:This study investigate the knowledge,attitude and practice of reproductive people on birth defect prevention and their relative requests on and acquiring ways in birth defect prevention service,analysis the influencing factors of knowledge,attitude and practice status.And that is to find out the current problems and determine the key objects of intervention,which can provide the practice that targeted pre-pregnancy health guidance and intervention measures.To provide scientific basis for whole scheme of improving prenatal health awareness,making eugenic strategy and birth defects interventions.Methods:In this study,stratified sampling method was used to randomly select 150 reproductive people who volunteered to participate in the free pre-pregnancy eugenics health checkup in 6 counties and districts of a city in Shanxi Province,were selected as the survey subjects.The questionnaires,a total of 900 participating groups,were investigated for prenatal health examination,prenatal care knowledge,attitude and behavior of pre-pregnancy in questionnaire survey,878 valid questionnaires were recovered,and the recovery rate was 97.6%.Using EpiData3.1 and SPSS22.0 to establish the database and data analysis,more specifically,count data utilization and composition ratio to describe,univariate analysis using the chi-square test,multivariate analysis using Logistic regression analysis,the KAP analysis using Spearman rank correlation analysis.Results:1.In a city of Shanxi Province,the attitude passing rate of birth defect prevention is the highest(94.9%),followed by the behavior passing rate(66.6%),while the knowledge passing rate is the lowest(57.4%).2.The results of multivariate analysis of birth defect prevention KAP among people of childbearing age showed that,Female(OR=2.703,95%CI: 1.850-3.949),Education for bachelor degree(OR=5.125,95%CI: 2.504-10.488),Medical staff(OR=18.516,95%CI: 4.976-68.895)have a higher knowledge pass rate.Female(OR=3.455,95%CI: 1.695-7.042),30-34 years old(OR=3.969,95%CI: 1.423-11.069),education for bachelor degree(OR=7.727,95%CI: 2.850-20.951)have a higher attitude pass rate.Education for the bachelor degree(OR=13.149,95%CI: 7.801-22.163),Medical workers among relatives(OR=1.773,95%CI: 1.251-2.513)have a higher behavior pass rate.3.The knowledge,attitude and practice of birth defect prevention were positively correlated.There was a high correlation between knowledge and practice(r=0.365,P<0.01).The correlation between knowledge and attitude was followed(r=0.290,P<0.01).The correlation between attitude and practice was low(r=0.264,P<0.01).4.The surveyed people's access to eugenics was mainly based on the Internet(70.0%),TV programs(67.2%)and related books(33.3%).Wish to get knowledge of eugenics is mainly by means of a brochure(68.6%),popular science lectures(65.0%)and face-to-face counseling(56.6%).Demand for eugenics knowledge in general science knowledge most(72.0%),followed by maternal care knowledge(68.0%),diseases affect fetal development(65.5%)and fetal abnormalities related factors(62.8%).The top three requirements for eugenics health care services are knowledge guidance for eugenics(74.2%),health examination for eugenics before pregnancy(73.7%)and complete examination during pregnancy(72.7%).Conclusion:1.The current situation of the knowledge of birth defect prevention among people of childbearing age is not optimistic,and their attitude is relatively positive.However,the behavior of preventing birth defects is relatively poor,and there is much room for improvement.2.The degree of education has an impact on the knowledge,attitudes and behaviors of birth defects of the childbearing age.Gender has an impact on the knowledge and attitude of birth defects of the childbearing age.Occupation have an impact on the birth defects of the child of reproductive age.Age and relatives of medical workers have an impact on the attitude and behavior of birth defects of people of reproductive age.3.The main ways for people of childbearing age to acquire eugenics knowledge are Internet and TV programs.The main ways to obtain knowledge of eugenics are brochures,popular science lectures and face-to-face consultation.There is a high demand for general knowledge of popular science and knowledge of health care during pregnancy and childbirth.There is also a high demand for health care services such as knowledge guidance,prepregnancy health examination and complete examination during pregnancy.4.Carry out health education for eugenics according to different population characteristics;Take a variety of forms,channels for eugenics knowledge publicity;Increase government investment and extensively develop eugenics and health care services.
