Purpose:1.To understand the current situation and characteristics of college students'suicidal ideation, and to explore the relationship between social exclusion and explicit suicidal ideation;2.To explore the influence of social exclusion and social exclusion situation on implicit suicidal ideation and the interactive influence of social exclusion and social exclusion situation on implicit suicidal ideation;Methods:1.Investigation researchA total of 714 students were investigated by using Social Exclusion Questionnaire(SEQ)and Self-rating Idea of Suicide Scale(SIOSS)to understand the current situation and characteristics of suicidal ideation of college students, and to explore the influence of social exclusion on explicit suicidal ideation;2.Experimental research(1)According to the scores of social exclusion in the investigation research, subjects within 27%of both sides of the scores were divided into the high-score and low-score groups of social exclusion.67 subjects are eligible.36 are in the high-score group and 31 are in the low-score group. In study 1,a single-factor intergroup design was used. The independent variable was the social exclusion group, and the dependent variable was the D score of the Implicit Association Test.(2)According to the scores of social exclusion in the investigation research, subjects within 27%of both sides of the scores were divided into the high-score and low-score groups of social exclusion.126 subjects are eligible.63 are in the high-score group and 63 are in the low-score group. The high-score and low-score subjects were randomly assigned to the group of social exclusion and the group of social acceptance respectively.Finally,66 are in assigned to the social exclusion group and 60 are in assigned to the social acceptance group. The independent variables were social exclusion group(high social exclusion group and low social exclusion group)and social exclusion situation(social exclusion group and social acceptance group). The dependent variable was D score of the Implicit Association Test.Results:1.Survey findings(1)The average score of college students'suicidal ideation was 3.95±3.40,and the detection rate of suicidal ideation was 4.05%.The scores of sleep and suicidal ideation of male students were significantly lower than that of female students(t=-2.00,p<0.05;t=2.13,p<0.05).There was no national difference in the scores of suicidal ideation and the dimensions of suicidal ideation. The scores of urban students in despair, sleep and suicidal ideation were significantly lower than those of county and rural students(F=3.25,p<0.05;F=7.16,p<0.001;F=4.59,p<0.01).The score of suburban students in sleep dimension was significantly lower than that of county and rural students(F=7.16,p<0.001).The sleep score of only child was significantly lower than that of non-only children(t=-2.47,p<0.05).(2)Direct exclusion, indirect exclusion and social exclusion were significantly positively correlated with the total score of suicidal ideation and all dimensions(p<0.01).The regression equation of despair dimension is Y=1.14+0.18*indirect exclusion, which can explain 18%of variation of despair dimension. The regression equation of the optimistic dimension is Y=0.01+0.03*indirect exclusion, which can explain 6%of the variation of the optimistic dimension. The regression equation of sleep dimension is Y=0.67+0.04*indirect exclusion, which can explain 4%of the variation of sleep dimension. The regression equation of the total score of suicidal ideation was Y=1.82+0.25*indirect exclusion, which could explain 18%of the variation of suicidal ideation.2.Experimental research results(1)The score of implicit suicidal ideation in the group with high-score of social exclusion was significantly higher than that in the group with low-score of social exclusion(t=3.09,p<0.01).(2)The main effect of social exclusion was significant(F(1,122)=37.19,p<0.001,?~2=0.234).(3)The interaction between social exclusion and social exclusion situation was significant(F(1,122)=5.29,p<0.05,?~2=0.042).Compared with social acceptance,high-score social exclusion had an increasing positive effect on implicit suicidal ideation.Conclusion:(1)There were significant differences in gender and native place of suicidal ideation among the college students, but no differences in other two demographic variables. There was significant difference in the dimension of despair on the native place, but no difference in the other three demographic variables. There was no difference in the four demographic variables in the optimism dimension. There were significant differences in sleep between gender, native place and whether the only child, but no significant differences among nationalities;(2)There was a significant positive correlation among the suicidal ideation, the four dimensions of suicidal ideation, the social exclusion, the two dimensions of social exclusion.Regression analysis showed that the indirect exclusion could positively predict explicit suicidal ideation;(3)The scores of suicidal ideation of the subjects with high-score social exclusion were significantly higher than those with low-score social exclusion;(4)The scores of suicidal ideation in the social exclusion situation were significantly higher than those in the social acceptance situation;(5)The interaction between social exclusion and social exclusion situation was significant.Compared with the social acceptance situation, the high score of social exclusion had an increasing positive effect on implicit suicidal ideation.
