In recent years, the suicides of college students occurred frequently, which has aroused widespread concern from all walks of life.As an important predictor of suicide risk, suicidal ideation has become a major factor in suicide prevention. As an externally induced factor, life events have an important impact on the formation of suicidal ideation, but the two are not simply linear relationships. As a negative cognitive way of thinking, rumination can induce suicidal ideation, and the social problem-solving has a certain impact on the individual's response to life events. This study explores the relationship among life events, rumination, social problem-solving and suicidal ideation, which provides more empirical support for college students' suicide prevention mechanism.Taking convenient sampling,700 college students from freshmen to seniors in a university in Tianjin were selected and tested by the Adolescent Self-Rating Life Events Check List(ASLEC),Ruminative Responses Scale(RRS),social problem-solving scale and SIOSS.The results of the study found that:1.There is a significant positive correlation between college students' life events and suicidal ideation, and life events significantly predict suicidal ideation.2.Both rumination and social problem-solving can significantly predict college students' suicidal ideation.3.The rumination and social problem-solving play a mediating role between life events and suicidal ideation.4.The rumination and social problem-solving play a chain mediating role between life events and suicidal ideation. In short, this paper mainly discusses the relationship between college students' life events and suicidal ideation, and rumination and social problem-solving play a chain mediating role between them, thus enriching the relevant research on suicidal ideation.Combined with the conclusion of the study, the Suggestions on suicide prevention and intervention for college students are put forward. |
