ObjectiveThe purpose of this research to further understand the current status of work-family enrichment and occupational burnout of nurses in a grade ? level A hospital in Wuhan.To explore the relationship between the work-family enrichment and occupational burnout of nurses.The aim to make nursing supervisors and nurses paid more attention to occupational burnout,which provide the theoretical basis for preventing and reducing occupational burnout.MethodsThrough cluster sampling 342 nurses from a grade ? level A hospital in Wuhan were selected as the sample.Design demographic variables questionnaire,Basic demographic information for nurses was measured,the Work-family enrichment questionnaire and Nursing burnout scale were used to measure the work family enrichment and occupational burnout of nurses separately.Using statistical software SPSS 20.0 to analysis the data.The study used some statistical methods such as descriptive analysis,variance analysis variance,t-test,Pearson correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to analysis data.Results1.The score of work-family enrichment of the nurses in a grade ? level A hospital in Wuhan was(51.44±9.91)points,the four dimensions of the work-family enrichment were divided into:work-family psychology enrichment(13.74±3.63)points,family-work psychology enrichment(15.72±3.25)points,family-work instrumental enrichment(11.46±2.44)points,work-family instrumental enrichment(10.52±2.54)points;2.The score of occupational burnout of the nurses in a grade ? level A hospital in Wuhan was(156.16±19.69)points,the three dimensions of the occupational burnout were divided into:emotional exhaustion(9.38±2.72)points,depersonalization(7.89±2.39)points,reduced personal accomplishment(7.50±2.55)points;3.There were significant differences in the work-family enrichment among the nurses with different ages,different genders,different educational levels,different numbers of children,different children's educational levels,different job titles,different nursing ages,different part-time jobs(P<0.05);4.There were significant differences in the occupational burnout among the nurses with different educational levels,different departments,different nursing ages(P<0.05);5.There was a significant negative correlation between work-family enrichment and occupational burnout,and the correlation coefficient was-0.435;6.In the multiple linear regression analysis,the two dimensions of work-family psychology enrichment and work-family instrumental enrichment have significant influence on occupational burnout.ConclusionThe work-family enrichment of the nurses in a grade ? level A hospital in Wuhan is in the middle and upper level,the occupational burnout is in a moderate level,and the nurses' work-family enrichment is negatively correlated with occupational burnout.In the work-family enrichment of nurses,the two dimensions of work-family psychology enrichment and work-family instrumental enrichment have a significant negative predictive effect on occupational burnout.We can enhance work-family enrichment by formulating policies of work-family enrichment,promoting harmonious and positive work-family relationship to alleviate the occupational burnout.
