Objective: To explore the clinical application of fasting and water-deprivation methods for rapid rehabilitation surgery in perioperative period of spinal surgery. Methods: A total of 192 patients who underwent spinal surgery in the Loudi Central Hospital from January 2018 to December 2018 were randomly assigned to the ERAS group and the conventional group. Each group with 96 patients separately received routine and ERAS fasting and water-deprivation method.By observing patients' level of comfort, satisfaction, and adverse reactions(such as fatigue, nausea, vomiting, thirst, hunger, hypoglycemia, and hypotension)in perioperative period and calculating patient's postoperative anal exhaust time and average hospitalization time, the clinical application value of ERAS's fasting and water-deprivation method in spinal surgery was preliminarily evaluated. Results: All the patients in the conventional and ERAS groups pulled through perioperative period safely.1.The average preoperative fasting and water-deprivation time and average postoperative fasting time in the ERAS group were(6.5±0.88)hours,(2.5±0.68)hours and(3.2±0.96)hours respectively. While, the conventional group were(11.3 ± 1.60)hours,(7.3 ± 1.76)hours,and 6 hours respectively.2.There were no statistical significance in data differences like age, body mass index, gender, and operation time between the ERAS group and the traditional group(P>0.05).3.The average hospitalization time of patients in the ERAS group was(12.4±1.73)days,which was obviously shorter than that of the traditional group(13.5±1.76)days,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.The level of comfort and satisfaction of patients in the ERAS group were much higher than those in the traditional group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).5.The postoperative fatigue, nausea and vomiting, hypoglycemia and hypotension in the ERAS group, and perioperative thirst and hunger were lower than those in the traditional group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).6.There was no aspiration in the two groups. The perioperative fasting and water-deprivation method in the ERAS group did not increase the incidence of aspiration. Conclusion: The application of fasting and water-deprivation method of fast-rehabilitation surgery in the perioperative period shortens the time of perioperative fasting and water-deprivation time, reduces the patient's adverse reactions, such as fatigue, thirst and hunger, low blood sugar and low blood pressure, shortens the anal exhaust time without increasing the risk of aspiration and shortening hospital stay.At the same time,it improves patients' level of satisfaction and comfort.
